This property is truly a hidden gem! Very modern, clean and comfortable. There were so many board games, movies and outdoor games that we were all well entertained. There is a nice walking trail around the rec area across the street and pickle ball courts. It was very easy for us to launch our boat in the neighborhood launch and tie up at the property's pier. We enjoyed everything about this stay.

The cabin was very nice and cozy. We loved it and loved the wildlife! I cleaned and filled the bird feeders and then enjoyed watching the birds especially my favorite, cardinals. Enjoyed the deer too and saw the fox twice. Downside was the drive to/from the cabin—roads are terrible. Also, would enjoy more hiking trails.

This place was perfect for our group. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was perfect since we cooked most of our meals while there. The outdoor fire pit was the perfect place to hang out this time of year! We will definitely be back.

We had such a great time! The cabin is perfect for large family trips. Plenty of things to do with the kids and adults. It was clean and well equipped with everything we needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for all of us. Having the ability to bring our beloved goldendoodle was the icing on the cake. It was such a great stay that we are working on dates to go again in the summer to make use of the access to the lake. 5 Stars!

The host was very welcome and had great communication. The house was clean and decorated for the holidays which we loved. The swing on the porch was a nice addition from last year. This was our second time staying at Hidden Gem and everything was perfect each time

The cabin itself was perfect for a girl's weekend. However, the lake was already VERY low, so we could not access the water at all, which was disappointing. The listing does say the water will be low late fall and through the winter, but it doesn't specify you won't be able to access the dock at all. The most disappointing aspect for us, though, was that the thermostat was set to 85 when we arrived Friday afternoon. It took overnight for the cabin to cool down, and it was sweltering for the first few hours. There were also a couple of dead bugs in the floor, so maybe it wasn't cleaned since the last guests stayed there. It would be nice to have it refreshed before you arrive though, and set the thermostat on a more reasonable temp the afternoon of, or even day before, guests arrive. A/C is a necessity in Alabama - even in late September!

We recommend “Hidden Gem” for sure. We had 5 adults, a 17 yr old and 9 and 10 yr old. It is supplied with many extras such as spices, etc and most any kitchen item and appliance you could ask for! We enjoyed the water (even in October) with their canoe, life jackets and paddle boards. Great bedding and communication. Camp fire was great for evening talks and s’mores!

We were very pleased with this Hidden Gem! Beautiful, clean property with things to do. Haley was quick to respond when we had questions. If we ever go back to Smith Lake, we'll be sure to stay at the Hidden Gem again.

We we not able to use the dock, or even access the water. We could not canoe, fish, use the lilypad or swim, because there was no way to access the dock. The floating bridge in the middle was too steep. Dont plan on using the hammock, its moldy. They had forgotten to put the ladder in that they have for this purpose. I was told a day before leaving that it could be put out on our checkout day. I let them know we were very disappointed, this was my birthday trip, and I had my heart set on fishing and canoeing. I got no response. The cabin is wonderful and clean, but getting to the water is dangerous even if they do provide a ladder. The bed upstairs needs replaced. The shower upstairs is great though. My first trip to Smith Lake and I could barely see the nice clear water. This was the first week of September, and the water was extremely low.

Unique. Rustic Cabin theme inside a subdivision. Hidden Gem is an appropriate name. Everything was great. They allow pets as well. Our Yorkie went on her first vacation with us.

Truly a hidden gem inside a wonderful neighborhood. We had an absolute blast - perfect property and lake location!

The cabin was absolutely stunning from the outside to the inside. It was the perfect little get away. It was amazing how much was there to do as far as the activities to do on the lake to the board games inside. The house if fully stocked with everything you would need for a stay, so just Incase you forgot to pack something the cabin had it. Our family has decided this will for sure be our lil get away this summer. We can’t wait to go back.

This property and the hosts are wonderful. One of the best rental properties my family has experienced. We had everything we needed and did not want our weekend to end. Everyone in our group ranging from ages 10-40 had more than enough to do. Don’t hesitate to book!

Our cabin was even more beautiful than the ad! Furniture was comfortable and there were so many thoughtful touches and amenities (spices, flour/sugar, board games, movies, game system/games, soft towels). Thank you for greatly enhancing our trip!

This property is called Hidden Gem and that is truly what it is! It's clean, inviting and in a great location. It was so easy to communicate with the friendly owners. We felt comfortable and happy and couldn't have asked for a better stay!!

We booked the cabin for my daughter's birthday. Everything was clean and easy to find. My daughter's favorite part of the weekend was making s'mores by the fire pit. I personally as an adult thoroughly enjoyed the spa shower in the master suite. It was the perfect getaway. We didn't want to leave.

Property was great house was wonderful. Few issues dick at water is on the verge of coming off into the water. Their was a scorpion in the shower of up stairs bathroom. Overall great experience
