Stayed Mar 17, 2023We had a gloriously quiet weekend walking the empty stretch of beach (watching seals and dolphins just past the surf), reading on the deck and soaking in the tub. Highly recommended!

Stayed Jan 2, 2023My husband and I were traveling throughout New Zealand for our honeymoon and wanted to stay in a quirky location to add to the experience. This property did not disappoint! The owners were some of the most welcoming hosts that we have ever encountered. They had homemade jam made from fruit grown in their garden waiting for us in the fridge. There was an outdoor bathtub surrounded by fairy lights in the yard behind the train-car. The train-car was beautifully and carefully refurbished with special attention made to maintain authenticity. The pathway to the beach was extremely close-by and private. Overall one of our favorite stays!

Stayed Oct 19, 2022Stunning property, wonderful hosts equals paradise for a break away. This was one of the best places to visit, so close to the beach, not far from Kaikoura but in the most perfect place to relax.
