Stayed May 15, 2026Check in was super easy with the provided door code, and Jammey was quick to respond to messages. The cabin was as pictured from the outside, though the inside was definitely DIY with cheap building material. It was basic but still had everything you would need. It was comfortable and cozy. There was a man living in a camper right next to the driveway who was always outside, so it wasn't super private, but the wooded area was nice. The walk down to the river was a bit strenuous with the hills, but it was worth it. The area consisted of mobile homes and permanently placed campers. It did take us about 50 minutes to get to the Mammoth Cave visitor center, though not sure if that was normal or if a quicker route road was closed.Overall, I would recommend. My friends and I had a nice, relaxing weekend.

Stayed Jun 8, 2026I was not informed that there was an individual residing above the garage, or in a camper behind the garage. I vacated the property after only a few hours, as I felt extremely uncomfortable upon encountering another person on the premises without any prior context. The host did not provide assistance for over 12 hours. Consequently, I had to reach out to Vrbo support for guidance regarding the presence of the other individual on the property, as I was unaware that they were authorized to be there. Additionally, there is a policy against flushing any toilet paper; it must be disposed of in a designated manner. I encountered a rather disappointing experience upon discovering the presence of individuals whom I had not anticipated on the property. I would not advise potential guests to stay at this establishment without having received appropriate notification regarding what to expect during their visit.

Stayed Sep 18, 2025The cabin was great. Amazing place. The host was easy to talk to great engagement with them. By far very kind people. Only thing I didn’t care for was having to throw used toilet paper into trash can. Due to them not wanting it in their septic. Only complaint I have.

Stayed Aug 22, 2025We stayed at this cozy little cabin while visiting Kentucky from Minnesota, and it was exactly what our family needed. The property is tucked away in the woods, giving it such a peaceful and secluded feel, yet it was still convenient to everything we wanted to do. Everyone we met in the area was so kind and welcoming, and the host was incredibly sweet—always available to answer any questions we had.We loved grilling outside, sitting around the fire pit, and relaxing with Netflix (such a nice bonus!) before heading out for our Mammoth Cave adventure. It truly felt like a hidden gem, the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect as a family. We’re so grateful for this stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming, quiet escape in Kentucky!

Stayed Aug 9, 2025Very pleasant. I would recommend finding the place in daylight the first time. The roads in that area are very curvy, hilly, and dark! Otherwise the air con was cold, the shower was hot, and the beds were comfy! A little further from Mammoth Cave than we expected- about 45 minutes.

Stayed Apr 4, 2025It’s nice and tucked back in some beautiful trees. The place was clean and pretty much exactly what we were looking for. The only drawback is as a very firm master suite mattress, but some folks love that! The communication with the hosts was fantastic and they did a pretty good job of leaving instructions for things. I’d stay here again.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024The house was exactly as described. The host more than responded timely with the questions I posed. The place was CLEAN and had just about everything there to make it very user friendly and more. The proximity to Mammoth Cave was a beautiful drive. We stayed over a weekend non tourist season, two people and my dog. Other reviews mentioned music down the hill. Yep, we heard it sitting out by the fire, however, it wasn’t obnoxious and they shut it down by 9pm. Didn’t bother us at all. The host messaged me close to check out ensuring everything was good. It’s a cute, CLEAN, functional cabin to use as a home base and for morning and evening meals and relaxing.
