'Hakuna Matata Cabin' - 11 Mi to Mt Rushmore!

The house was very well stocked and was great home base for our family to see several different places.

Nice property in a central location

It was an excellent place to stay. Beds, and pillows were fantastic! Easy to get places and a quiet neighborhood. The master bathroom was to die for. I would stay there again if we come this way again. Loved how helpful the owner was.

This property was in a great location for our needs. (Krull's was a nice grocery store nearby too.) Communication with VRBO host was good. Comfortable beds. Nice open layout with 3 good size bedrooms. Finding the turn for the road at night was a little challenging. A few small household needs that the host is already addressing. Overall, we were very happy with this VRBO choice and would likely stay here again if we are in the area.

Out stay was fantastic. Blanch was great she communicated everything we needed to know. The house was set up very nicely. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

This cabin rental was amazing! The house and bedrooms were perfect, the host was easy to reach for the few questions we had. We rented this cabin for my daughter's wedding weekend and it was great for having family and friends stop by to visit and help get things ready. Having this wonderful cabin took a lot of stress off me.10/10 recommend renting!!!

The house was clean and easily accommodated the five of us. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with general spices, dishes and cooking utensils. It was nice having the clothes washer/dryer handy. Location provided easy access to sights. Bathrooms were nice but need some better lighting. New blinds in kitchen area and master suite would provide more privacy. Overall nice place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hakuna Matata! The house was as beautiful as the photographs and had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was the best stocked vacation rental kitchen I’ve ever used. We really appreciated having all the kid-friendly dishes and little play area. The hot tub was perfect for the chilly spring afternoons and evenings. The house is in a great location for Mount Rushmore and Custer Stare Park. We would certainly stay here again.

This was absolutely gorgeous place to stay right in the middle of all the sites around Keystone and Hill city. Quiet area and the house was perfect for our family, they even had a little coloring area for our little! Highly recommend staying here.

This was the prefect home base. Centrally located near attrations by Hill City and Keystone, it was also very clean and comfortable. The home was well stocked with all the things we needed to cook and serve meals. It felt private and relaxed.

Beautiful home and property. Very accommodating management. Blanche was very responsive. House was beautifully decorated for Thanksgiving. Kid friendly with an activity corner and dishes for them. Spacious and clean home. Traveled with trailers and UTV’s. And pet friendly. Will definitely keep this home in my favorites!!

We were traveling to Rapid City to watch our daughter perform in a music competition. We had a great time at Hakuna Matata and look forward to staying again. The cabin was clean and comfortable and we had plenty of room to hang out. It was also close to the sights and it was great to come back to after hiking to the top of Black Elk Peak.

We loved the cabin. It was appointed with everything we would ever think of needing. Cozy and decorated beautifully. Our hosts were warm and friendly.

Our stay was great. We had everything we needed for a fun mom’s weekend! The house was cozy and comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked! The host went out of their way to be gracious with excellent instructions and overall feeling welcomed!

Lovely home with large windows and relaxing view across lawn, horse property and Black Hills. 2 bedroom suites plus extra bedroom. Perfect for couples vacationing together. Large great room and all kitchen needs. Quiet. Close to Custer State Park.

This property suited our group perfectly. The location gave easy access to Mount Rushmore and the road trip sightseeing we had planned.

The property is within walking distance from the Diamond Spur Event Center which was super convenient during the wedding weekend. The house was exactly as described, just perfect. The map on VRBO makes it appear it’s located on the backside of the neighborhood but it’s not. You can see the event center from the front porch and it’s located right next door to another property we rented for the weekend, the new modern lodge.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our 9 day stay. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and in a good location to drive to all the places we wanted to visit (Bad Lands, Devils Tower, Custer State Park, needles highway, Mount Rushmore, Windcave National Park). Our groups of 6 older adults highly recommend it.
