Stayed Jun 5, 2026Though the decor was nice the place didn't function well. The toilet gurgled, the kitchen sink drained extremely slow and the furniture was extremely uncomfortable. The couch cushion was so worn you didn't feel it, you felt the frame. The beds were hard. The fridge is small, like a dorm room fridge. From the post it seemed you were closer to the water than you are. We booked for 2 nights and left after 1 knowing we wouldn't get a refund. We booked hoping to make it a fishing weekend so after the uncomfortable night we went to Clare and booked a hotel room for 2 nights to extend our weekend away. I won't mention the hotel name but it was a huge relief, comfortable bed, nice room with a fridge actually bigger than at the place we vacated early. We were close to some good fishing spots. We will be back up north for another fishing weekend but will return to hotel in Clare.

Stayed May 31, 2026We came up to ride quads and dirt bikes, unfortunately, my husband flipped a quad the first night, so the rest of the nights we spent by the water, and sitting outside by the fire. This was perfect for relaxing and the host was very good with communicating.

Stayed May 23, 2025This cabin was affordable, in a tucked away neighborhood. It was very clean and cozy. The neighbors yards give a different impression of what the stay may be like, but we never felt unsafe, nor were our things outside ever bothered with. It’s a nice walk down to beautiful Arnold Lake. The host was never nice, communicated well and answered right away. The kids loved the Lincoln logs and it was nice having a dog cage already there for our pup.
