Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house itself is very cute and clean and the location on the water is just what we wanted. But we went to great pains when choosing a location to make sure it would meet our needs and the stairs and bathroom situation, had they been described accurately, would have changed our decision. You need to update your listing to accurately describe the bathrooms and stairs. The listing and the email I received clearly say 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom on the 1st floor which would lead anyone to believe the second bathroom is on the upper floor. We were disappointed to find that there is no bathroom with the upstairs bedrooms. It would also be worth mentioning the state of the stairs to get to the second floor. They are very steep and the treads are narrower than an adult foot so they are hard to navigate for older folks who otherwise would have no trouble with stairs. My husband walks with a cane and we are traveling with my 80 year old parents. So we were left having to decide if my husband should risk his knee climbing the stairs or if my elderly mother should risk the stairs for bathroom trips at night. Other than that, the house was exactly as pictured in the listing, and was comfortable and had everything we needed. We found some cute nearby restaurants, took a walk on the wetlands trail in Belfair, and my kids loved playing in the water (we brought inflatable kayaks) and were happy to see sea lions out there. We had one problem with the door code for Huckleberry Hut and they sent someone down really quickly to help us get in. We had a great time and enjoyed the stay. I'd recommend it for anyone as long as you know about the bathroom and are ok navigating non-standard steep stairs.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house stunning! Set right on the water. Plenty of room for a family. Great entertainment setup, nice beds, and a fantastic, HUGE porch good for barbecuing or stargazing. The desk in the main room looks right out into the water, so I was watching the tide go out while checking my email. There’s a nice little conversation corner with chairs and a table that is begging for a puzzle! We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit, so we can’t wait to come back. There’s tons to do and enjoy. The kids want to make s’mores! I want to watch the herons catch fish while drinking coffee on the porch. Together we can all hike around the islands. Grocery shopping in town was an easy drive and the kitchen had everything we needed. The rental company was wonderful to work with. Getting a code to enter worked very well. All of my questions were answered quickly. Could not ask for a better experience!

Stayed Jul 2, 2023This cabin is a great little cabin, but a newer rental that will improve overtime. It wasn’t super clean but not bad enough that we reached out to the host. I would not recommend this place if you have a young toddler- there are cords hanging all over the house, dishes in the open within reach, and no place to store anything dangerous. Also be careful of your clothing- we all have ripped jeans from the knobs in the kitchen. The location is great, the water is right there and it’s beautiful. Bring swimming shoes as it’s very rocky with a lot of sharp shells- but that’s WA beaches!
