This cozy three-bedroom cabin is nestled in the center of the Black Hills National Forest. It is surrounded by ponderosa pine trees and is close to Lake Pactola and Sheridan Lake. There is space for one small trailer if you choose to travel with one. There are also ATV trails just outside your door! Stayed Sep 12, 2025We were looking to get away and have a quiet weekend. This cabin provided that. A lot of moths, alive and dead when we got there. We tried to help remedy that. Beautiful location. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Aug 16, 2025The downstairs bathtub needs a thorough cleaning. Should be swept under the beds and the deck. The manager, Julie, was great. Very helpful and informative with the questions I had. Really peaceful and quiet. I liked remote location.

Stayed Jul 24, 2025Beautiful cabin! Very remote and quiet! We loved having 2 bathrooms! The A/C unit worked ok, but after reading other reviews, we took a few box fans and put them in the windows to draw in the cool mountain air. This worked great! We really enjoyed the huge deck for eating and hanging out! The cabin had everything we needed and the kitchen had great cookware!! We highly recommend this beautiful home! AND…the WiFi worked great!

Stayed Jul 29, 2024We really enjoyed our stay - though we were switched to a different cabin. Julie was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. The location was perfect - we were close to Mt. Rushmore, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave and Custer State Park. And close enough to Hill City and Keystine to find great places to eat and hang out. We were actually at Riley’s Retreat and it was a great cabin. Have already recommended to a couple of friends!

Stayed Jul 12, 2024We loved the remote location of this cabin! Very cozy cabin with peaceful surroundings! It was tricky to cool the main floor to a comfortable level without AC or being able to open more windows but we made the best of it and spent a lot of time on the deck.
