We had a wonderful weekend stay! The location was very convenient for visiting Acadia National Park, but honestly, staying on the property itself was an adventure of its own. We traveled with our 7-year-old daughter, and she absolutely loved the experience. We fed the pig that lives on the property, and every day she ran outside to chase the chickens. It was also so nice to be greeted by their dog, who always came out to welcome us and made the place feel even more like home. In short, it was a child’s paradise. Our accommodation was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare full meals. During the chilly nights, we used the heater provided and were completely comfortable. The sofa can be used as an additional sleeping space, but it is showing its age and may not be the most comfortable option for sleeping. I would also note that the rooster is very dedicated to his job and works better than any alarm clock! Overall, we had a great stay and created wonderful family memories. 😊

I arrived at night. It was cold in the barn, I was told the heat was turned on, I don’t think it was enough time for my arrival to heat up the barn. Alas the heat warmed up the room and I slept ok. Just be aware that there is a rooster or two that Will wake you up. First time was 3 am and the second one was 4:14 am. I don’t think they were on new time change. Other than that it was rustic and peaceful. Thank goodness for a small lamp with a usb port! I brought the wrong charger 🤣. Cayenne came to say good bye by barking and saying thanks for being here

Honestly perfect! You get exactly what is advertised and then some--everything has been thought of inside this cozy loft (the coffee was clutch, I'd forgotten to bring any!!)I loved waking up to Teach the rooster and taking out my compost to feed Chadde. The walk to Little Pond was beautiful and it was so nice to be able to take the canoe for a morning paddle. Even though it was cold enough to snow, the heater in loft kept it warm--I didn't even need it at night. Will definitely be back!

The farm and the barn loft were an excellent get away. Kind of like being in a Hunting lodge. The walk to Little Pond was not only beautiful, but the solitude was refreshing. it was close enough to Acadia that I would definitely stay there again. Thanks Becka

This quaint stay was everything we needed for our trip to MDI. Becka was a wonderful host (as was her angelic dog, Cayenne), and we loved the rustic setting. The rental was well and thoughtfully stocked. The outdoor shower was so enjoyable, serenaded by the nearby apiary. Even the early bird rooster made us laugh. Would happily stay again.
