Stayed Aug 28, 2025Cozy cabin is a good description of this place. This was a very peaceful and relaxing location with a nice east facing porch to watch the sunrise in the morning. Everything was in order as one would expect and we had no issues. After spending a few nights at hotels in the national park, it was nice to get away from the crowds and have some space and peace, listening to bear creek trickle down below. It is about a 15 minute drive down to Gardiner if you want to stock up or grab a bite to eat, but the road to town is a little rough with washboarding. There are some immediate neighbors, but the area was quiet and peaceful. We will consider staying here in the future.

Stayed Aug 1, 2025Host answered questions quickly and made every attempt to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We traveled with two infants and six adults and the accomodations were perfect. Quiet, wooded area with an open floor plan home was great for meeting our needs.

Stayed Jul 16, 2025Lovely stay at the property, plenty of space inside so that everyone had room after exploring all day to rest and recuperate.

Stayed Jul 9, 2025The property was clean, secluded, and had all of the amenities we needed. The size of the property held our family of four (2 adult kids) with plenty of room to spare. The master bath was a little tighter than we expected, but I probably hadn't paid enough attention to the pictures in the listing. The property distance from the North entrance to Yellowstone was fine, but the condition of the road made it take far longer than expected each trip. I hope the county does something about that. The property owner was easy to communicate with, friendly, and timely with responses. I'd recommend this property.

Stayed Jul 1, 2025It was a great time. It did have a weirdo smell upstairs. But it was a great place. The water heater didn’t work and they sent someone out right away. Great service.

Stayed Jun 23, 2025We expected the rental to be rustic based on the location and description, but we’re disappointed that the main heating unit did not work for the first two days. We were in coats and warm hats to eat dinner and it was not relaxing at all. What is worse is that the issue was known and wasn’t communicated to us ahead of time or fixed before we arrived. A portion of rental payment was refunded. There were also two visitors to the property- a mountain lion (or two) outside and a mouse inside. The mountain lion didn’t bother us but we had to keep our heads on a swivel - also, it apparently killed a skunk that permeated the rental for a day or so.

Stayed Jun 16, 2025We really enjoyed our stay and loved the access to Gardiner. Property was great and the property manager was super helpful. Only downside is the road into Gardiner is terribly damaged making for a difficult drive into town. Otherwise, all was great.

Stayed Sep 10, 2024We stayed here for several nights to visit Yellowstone. The home was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. The house is located about 5 miles down a bumpy, dirt road outside of Gardiner. The ride up the hill to the house certainly added to our adventure! Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Stayed Aug 13, 2024This is a beautiful, well built house. Pros:We were a group of 5 -4 adults and a teen-and it had plenty of room for us. The bedrooms were spacious. The open floor plan on the first floor was very nice, with an especially beautiful wood dining table. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/plates/glasses etc. The front porch/grill and fire pit were nice features. Luckily no one was renting the smaller unit so we had privacy. (I don't think it would have been as nice if someone else was there at the same time.) We contacted the management company with a number of questions before arriving and they responded promptly. When the coffee maker wasn't working and there was no dishwashing detergent replacements were dropped off. Cons: while the house is exactly 15 min from the entrance to Yellowstone, as mentioned in the description, what is not said is the house is set high up in the hills and guests need to drive on a rough, winding, gravel road to get there. We were in a minivan and had to drive very slowly to get to the house. Due to its location we only left and returned to the house once a day. It is not convenient to go back for a forgotten item and all restaurants/grocery store are down in the town, near the arch, so make sure to have your food supplies before heading up the hill. Lastly there is no view from the house, which would have been a plus given the location.

Stayed Jul 28, 2024The home was very nice and spacious. The spiders in the ensuite bathroom were out of control, everytime you'd kill one, two more would appear. The dirt road to the house was very rough and took 15 mintues each way.

Stayed Aug 3, 2024One of the best properties we've ever stayed in! We loved the large open room downstairs, the fully stocked kitchen and the awesome front porch! The beds were great and we loved all the parking. The 15 minute drive from town was a pretty rough road, but the views along the road made it worth it.
