A quiet comfortable self-contained cottage. It has a reverse cycle air-conditioner, super comfortable king size hardwood bed and a good size timber verandah nestled under a big mango tree looking north to the Dorrigo range across the Bellingen Valley & mountain views.

Stayed Apr 2, 2026We had a great stay and would happily return. The place was clean, well-maintained, and matched the listing description accurately. Check-in was smooth and straightforward, and John was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants, cafes and shops. Again we had a lovely stay and a great time at Bruno's Restaurant which has amazing food & drinks.

Stayed Oct 23, 2024We had a wonderful 4-night stay at John's cottage. It is located just steps away from the main street so we were delighted to find a pasture with horses, cattle and birds just a few minutes away, leading to the river and bridge. Sitting on the deck under the mango tree was very restful, watching the lizards and birds, and listening to nature. It is a quaint yet comfortable place with everything we needed and John is a friendly host. If we are lucky enough to return to Bellingen, we'll be returning to John's cottage.

Stayed Feb 22, 2024The property was clean and tidy and had every thing we needed, it was close to the main street with shopping and dining facilities. Once inside the property you could not hear traffic noise. John our host was lovely and very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Jan 7, 2024We had a wonderful five day stay in John's Cabin, embraced by a cool and leafy mango tree. So conveniently located close to town, yet quiet and serene. Watching all the birds and lizards going about their business right next to us. We will be back!
