The ELKHORN CABIN is a RUSTIC hunting and fishing cabin built in the early 1960s. Rock Creek Cabins is 40 min. from the downtown & Missoula Airport. Secluded off the main road about half a mile but still with in minutes of Blue Ribbon Fishing. The amenities are rustic with an organic outhouse right out back and a Shower House 60 ft. away. There is a full kitchen with electric range, fridge, cold running water ( except winter time) coffee pot and toaster. Pots and pans-- dishes--. sheet

Stayed Sep 16, 2025The location and facilities of this gem are perfect for those wanting to get off grid and spend time enjoying the best of Montana. The cabin is rustic as described but the kitchen, shower, and outhouse facilities are convienient. Mike is a great host, very helpful and good for some great tips on fishing spots. Supplies are only about a few miles away if needed. A peaceful spot near some great fishing, I will be back!

Stayed Jul 3, 2025We really enjoyed our 3 day stay at the Elkhorn cabin! Everything you need and much more comfortable than tent camping in the pouring rain. The cabin does have an outhouse so if you’re not expecting a flush toilet, may want to look for something a little fancier. We will be back, thanks for your hospitality Mike!

Stayed Jun 6, 2025Great little place well off the beaten path. Anglers paradise, seconds from Rock Creek. Moose off the back porch two mornings in a row and a couple full curl rams just around the corner. Rustic little cabin with all the amenities of home. Less the intrusion of internet and cell. Outstanding place to stay if your in the Clinton Missoula area.

Stayed Aug 30, 2023Breathtakingly beautiful location, the cabin was a perfect home away from home when we weren’t out hiking or fishing. It was so fun to have the creek and wildlife right out the door. Stayed Sep 27, 2022Love the Elkhorn cabin on Brewster Creek! Great hiking, flora and fauna, and some gold mining history thrown in. Mike is communicative, delightful, and a wealth of information. Didn't want to leave. Looking forward to next time.
