Dinah is THE most thoughtful host I could ever imagine. Communication with her was exemplary, prompt, clear. She provided detailed instructions and information online, through messages and on printouts at the cabin. The cabin was family-friendly, cozy yet spacious enough for our group of four, was exceptionally clean and well cared for, included thoughtful touches like an assortment of books and games as well as a tv with Wi-Fi and streaming services and boasted a guest-friendly kitchen. We were able to have a enchanting 18th birthday retreat for my granddaughter, complete with a lovely birthday dinner we prepared in the cabin's phenomenally appointed kitchen. We visited the Woodland Mist cabin (aptly named because of the surrounding misty mountains) in March 2026, found the view from the cabin to be wonderful and the entire experience peaceful, restful and indeed Soul-Restoring for us as described in their listing. We especially enjoyed our time around the firepit in the provided camp chairs. Arriving and staying at Woodland Mist Cabin was like coming home or to a good friend's home, but better. We will return as soon as we can - and for a longer visit.

We had a great stay and would highly recommend. The cabin is very clean, nicely decorated, and the fireplace and firepit were very welcome additions to the cold nights. Dinah is a very attentive and friendly host.

Great view, quiet and peaceful! The host was very welcoming and informative. They put lots of extra thoughtful extras in the medicine cabinet like dairy pills, first aid kits and allergy meds. We forgot some of those and didn’t need to get off the mountain to get them.

The cabin was clean, cozy, beautifully decorated, and well stocked with anything you will need, and then some. The Mountain View was beautiful! It was nice watching the sun rise and mist flow off from the porch rockers. Fire pit was very enjoyable. We loved everything about it.

Top of the mountain, classic cozy cabin feel. I enjoyed the peace and quiet and the cabin was decorated wonderfully! Long driveway, zig-zag all the way up, and the driveway is STEEP! Would recommend AWD or 4WD in wet or inclement weather. Take all your food and groceries so that you don't have to make numerous trips up and down. I will be back to visit. I think this is is my new happy place.

The cabin was super nice and comfy. The beds were great! Incredible water pressure, good ac, lots of support from the host for everything. We really loved it, felt like coming home. My only warning is that the roads to get there are pretty steep. If you’ve never driven a mountain road I’d encourage you to practice first haha. It is accessible via 2wd cars but 4X4 makes it a lot easier to get there.

Excellent view, well equipped, pleasant, but too many Do nots in the instruction booklet indicating owner more concerned about controlling visitors than accommodating them. My brother-in-law who was with me thought it was a great place & would return.I was there to enjoy a quiet Memorial Day but couldn't due to lawn mowing, weed whacking, leaf blowing creating noise, dust and throwing debris on porch.

We book this on a hurry the weekend before in a rush to family, the host Dinah was so so so helpful, this was our first time renting a house and we was kind unsure a few things, Dinah was so easy to work with and quickly responded to my messages, the house was phenomenal!!! Beautiful area sourunding was so peaceful, we sat and watched the birds and squirrels play in the morning, it is normally very hard for me to sleep while away from home, but the beds are just right. We slept like babys. lolWe will definitely be rebooking this cabin again,No issues at all from beginning to end.P.S. the shower is so relaxing has very good pressure to release that stress away. Definitely 10/10

So lucky to be able to stay at this lovely, clean cabin as the hurricane came through. We were on top of the mountain and even though it rained hard the entire two days, we were snug as a bug in a rug! Out host was so kind and checked on us frequently which was very thoughtful. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Overall rating is excellent, Thank you to our hosts!

we enjoyed our time at the cabin. finding all of the quirky little antiques throughout our stay. The Murphy Riverwalk, the Rare Bird Emporium and Peach Tree Produce are all worth a trip to town. The John C Campbell Folk Art School was outstanding. We had a memorable day there. But my favorite thing was, sitting on the front porch watching the butterflies on the Mimosa, and listening to the birds as the sun goes down behind the mountains and the fire flies come out.
