This simple and clean cabin is located near Hill City, South Dakota, and is at the center of everything the Black Hills has to offer!

Built in the mid 70's, this cabin shares the lower driveway with one other cabin (Cabin 4) provides a great opportunity for families and groups.

This cabin can accommodate six guests in one bedroom with two queen-size beds and a nice queen pull-out sofa with a memory foam mattress in the living room. Linens are provided as well as nice comforters.

Off the short hallway is a bathroom with a shower/tub. Towels, wash clothes, a floor mat, and hand towels are provided. Upon request we will exchange used towels for fresh towels. Toilet paper and liquid hand soap are also provided but personal hygiene items such as shampoo and body wash are not. A hair dryer is available upon request.

In the kitchen area, guests will find a stove, refrigerator, a microwave, and a toaster. A coffee maker, coffee, sugar, and creamer are provided. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishware, and cups. Dish soap, a dish scrubby, and a dish towel are provided as well as paper towels. The corner banquette table seats 6.

In the living room area guests will find a couch for lounging after a long day of sight seeing and a wall-mounted television with Dishnetwork to provide additional entertainment.

Air conditioning is provided in the bedroom and box fans are provided in the cabin to help keep things comfortable during the summer. On the cooler days, cove heaters keep this tiny cabin nice and toasty.

Immediately out the front door there is a fire pit area with a picnic table and a Weber charcoal grill. Firewood harvested from the property and eggs from our free range chickens are available for sale on site. Charcoal and lighter fluid that other guests have left may be available at no charge. This cabin is close to the playground equipment so kids can let out some energy.

Surrounded by public lands, Mitchell Lake is a short walk away and offers a great view, kayaking and fishing opportunities. Wild raspberries and wildflowers can often be found near by as well.

Although parking is limited, when cabins 4 and 5 are booked together, guests have the best options for accommodating small trailers with recreational vehicles or motorcycles. We encourage you to reach out to us to discuss parking options before you book.

Needles Highway, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park, and Rapid City are all within a short 30 minute drive of your front door. The cabin is only two miles from Hill City, which has a grocery store, hardware store, many great restaurants and shops. Walmart and Target are only a 25 minute drive into Rapid City.

Our 2.5 acre property consists of five cabins, and a six room motel.

Our cabin was perfect for our family! The owners came by and said hi and welcomed us. The place was clean, quiet, cozy and had all the amenities we needed. We will definitely be back!

This was a great centrally located spot for all vacation adventures. Property managers were very friendly and took care of any questions we had. I would recommend this cabin and will likely look to stay here again on future visits.

We enjoyed our stay at Robin's Roost! We enjoyed the Kenaston's friendly demeanor and appreciated them taking the time to visit with us at the end of each day! We would highly recommend staying at Robin's Roost!

our cabin was just what we needed - a place to crash in the middle of the Black Hills. With the kitchenette, we were able to turn it into our home for our stay.

Everything was fantastic about our stay except the wifi. We could not get connected to it, but thankfully, I had brought my own wifi. The lack of wifi did not in any way negatively impact our stay. We were very close to town for groceries and close to all of the places we intended to visit during our stay. Loved the firepit outside and the visits by the chickens and cat. Made for some delightful evenings. Would definitely recommend it and would stay again.

This cabin is nicely renovated to feel clean and comfortable, though still pretty basic. Great location for accessing area attractions!

The best part about this cabin is that it is a short drive from the Black Hills, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park. Hills City has a great little grocery store just a couple minutes away and a bunch of great restaurant options. The owner of the cabins was very friendly, in fact came to check on us halfway through to see if we needed anything. If you are looking to connect to the internet while on the trip. This isn't a great option. Cell reception was scarce and the wifi only provided one bar, really no service at all which made it hard to plan the days activities.

Great location! Short drive to all the main attractions of the Black Hills. The cabin we stayed in was older, but very clean. Will stay here for our next visit.
