Experience Almost Heaven in this cozy 2-bedroom cabin in West Jefferson, NC.

Amazing views. The cabin was homily and everything was clean and well maintained. Highly recommend staying here for anyone who wants peace and quiet yet within easy distance of many activities and places to visit and enjoy. And it’s pet friendly!!

The house was perfect. Decorated for Fall. Beautifully clean. Location amazing. Just unfortunate it was that particular weekend.we did our best to keep everything outside secure. There were a few leaks which we managed to keep off the wooden floors. In spite of no power or water for a while we managed to enjoy our short stay. We were the fortunate ones!

Terrible weather but still had fun

This is one of our favorite mountain rentals ever! Easy process, great communication, clean rental, stunning views. We will definitely stay here again and love using High Mountain !!

The views were absolutely gorgeous. Great location just a short drive to downtown West Jefferson. House was very nice and had a well equipped kitchen. Front and back porches were covered and perfect for sitting and enjoying the views and wildlife. Would certainly stay here again.

The online pictures do not give this cabin justice! The views are absolutely incredible and were a welcome surprise for this Florida family. The cabin was perfect for our group of 2 adults and 3 teens (12, 17 & 17). The older teens loved the downstairs TV room and us parents loved the view from the primary bedroom. The kitchen was adequately stocked and the washer and dryer was a bonus for laundering bath towels during our week long stay. The neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood quiet and full of wildlife. We saw plenty of deer and several foxes during our stay. The hot tub was perfect on chilly nights and lazy afternoons. There was a little snow leftover from the Christmas Weekend snowfall and the kids enjoyed mini snowball fights in the yard. I can definitely recommend 4 wheel drive or chains if there is a snow storm during your stay. While the paved roads to the cabin are beautiful and well maintained, the cabin is located on the crest of a mountain and would be perilous to leave or reach without 4x4 or chains. Our family fell in love with the little town of West Jefferson; visiting Main Street for shopping, Ashe County Cheese factory and store, The Log House for breakfast and Black Jack's Pub for dinner. Whole Lotta Doughnuts is a must visit also. An Ingles Grocery Store and a Wal-Mart are maybe 10 minutes from the cabin. We took afternoon trips to New River State Park, Grayson Highlands State Park and Grandfather Mountain via the Blue Ridge Parkway. Blowing Rock and Boone are about 40 minutes from the cabin. Our family enjoyed Tweetsie RR Christmas and SnowTubing at Hawksnest. Just driving the country roads and enjoying the scenery and small towns was probably our favorite time. If you are thinking about booking this home...do not hesitate! I hope your family will enjoy it as much as we did!

The property view is gorgeous. You will enjoy breathtaking sunsets with a western view from the back porch. The cabin is charming with two large rooms for entertaining up and downstairs.

This cabin was cozy and plenty spacious for 3 of us on a girls weekend trip to celebrate a wedding. The views are just stunning! We only stayed two nights and wedding events kept us busy, but we soaked in the views on our first night on the back deck. Really nice porch furniture! We were pleasantly surprised at the ease of location - paved roads and easy to access. Also close to an Ingles. It worked out very nicely to each have a bathroom to ourselves for getting ready. Again though, the views… just spectacular! Thank you for sharing your cabin!

There was no shortage of views-absolutely stunning. Our family of 6 and 2 small dogs enjoyed waking up to deer each morning, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, and an all around relaxing trip.

The view was our favorite feature of this property and the sunsets were really gorgeous. The cabin met our needs just fine and being able to bring our dog was extremely important to us. We also enjoyed seeing all of the deer around the cabin. We would definitely book this cabin again.
