Our cabin is more than a place to stay—it's a destination for those seeking serenity, adventure, and awe-inspiring views at 11,000 feet.

Nestled on 23 private acres bordered by the pristine Pike National Forest, this true log cabin offers ultimate seclusion at the end of a tree-lined drive. Feel like you’re worlds away with fishing creek access, a serene pond, creeks and spectacular peak views in every direction—all with convenient access from a county road.
With ample space and breathtaking views, it's the perfect spot for family bonding or a romantic couple's getaway. Check out our reviews. :)

Our property is a paradise for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, all with a cozy cabin to come home to after a day of exploration.

Wildlife Encounters: Spot moose, elk, fox, bear, mountain sheep, and even beavers from your deck.

Hiking & Fishing: Endless trails, on-site fishing, gold-panning and snowshoeing adventures await.

Adjacent Pike National Forest offers treed hillsides, scenic trails, moose habitats, and even a seasonal waterfall. You can even hike all the way to Mt. Sherman if you like.

Designed for comfort and charm, the cabin includes:
3 Bedrooms + Loft & 2 Bathrooms for family or group flexibility and a fully stocked kitchen.
Large Covered Deck: Wraps around three sides, providing panoramic mountain views and the peaceful sound of flowing water.
Private Gated Entry: The long driveway and gated entrance enhance your sense of seclusion and peace. Truly feels like you've got your own Rocky Mountain paradise.

Firewood for the wood stove is included along with propane for the gas grill and plenty of outdoor seating.

Perfectly Situated for Mountain Day Trips!
From the cabin, enjoy easy access to nearby attractions:
Breckenridge (35 mins): World-class skiing, snowboarding, and golfing.
Buena Vista (40 mins): Thrilling whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River, horse back riding or Hot Spring soaking.
Fairplay (Close by): Historic South Park, renowned trout fishing, ATV rentals and local amenities.

Altitude Notice: With the cabin’s high-altitude location (11K feet), guests should acclimate upon arrival. We recommend drinking plenty of water, limiting alcohol and caffeine, and taking it easy for the first day or two to ensure a comfortable stay. The whole area is high altitude with Breckenridge at 10K. If anyone in your group has been or may be affected by altitude, we recommend staying at a lower elevation.

Embrace the rare opportunity to stay in a setting so remarkable it was chosen for a music video. Mountain Creek Lodge is where cherished memories are made—surrounded by nature’s grandeur and the true spirit of the Rocky Mountains.

Beautiful piece of property and a cute cabin. Some extra things *could* have been done in cleaning prior to our stay, but overall, a great experience. Very quiet and the hosts are accommodating. Would be honored to visit again some day!!

This is an awesome place to stay. It is very comfortable and nice. We saw moose, elk and deer. The chipmunks are very fun to watch and the birds ate right out of pur hands.

We had a great time at the cabin and appreciated all the amenities, cleanliness, remote location, and cool weather in August. We enjoyed seeing the moose family on multiple occasions and had fun catching and releasing the eager brookies in the pond and stream. Overall a great relaxing stay! Thanks!

I won’t go into great detail, as the endless reviews speak for themselves. I’ll only say that our stay was like visiting a relative. I’ve never stayed in a vacation rental, that was better stocked. Absolutely ANYTHING you might need, seemed to be available, if necessary…. From extra backpacks to bear spray. The only thing I’d suggest is that if you plan to cook in and happen to drive, as we did, I’d bring as much as you could. There are a couple of small grocery stores in town, but the variety is lacking. The larger stores were in Breckenridge and Frisco. Aside from that, the property was great. And though we weren’t lucky to see much wildlife, our 2 doodles loved the long walks, and exploring. Many thanks to Charlie and Monica! They are blessed to have such an amazing slice of heaven.

This is a fabulous get away that allows for great wildlife viewing, hiking, fishing, and just trying to turn the clock backwards. We will likely visit again if they will have us. Three-Peat

The photos don't do this place justice. Just an absolutely magical backdrop and property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended to countless friends asking where all of our amazing photos are taken. There were a couple of things that could have sent this place even further over the edge, like a hot tub, but as long as that’s not a deal breaker give this place a shot!!

The property is exactly as described, absolutely beautiful and peaceful! The fishing on the property was excellent, and we really enjoyed spending time outdoors. We chose Colorado as part of our goal to visit all the MLB stadiums, and the drive from Denver to the cabin was easy and incredibly scenic. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this property.

This place was absolutely amazing—so much wildlife! One evening, a red fox came right up near the cabin, and we even spotted a moose during our stay. I wish I could post videos because I have so many, including one of me sitting on the porch when a hummingbird came right up and poked its little beak through the holes in my Crocs—too funny and so magical! We loved exploring the property and starting our mornings with coffee on the green chairs, soaking in the peace and quiet. The cabin itself was super comfy and cozy—just what we needed. We had such a great time that we even started researching properties in the area! That’s how much we loved it. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely magical weekend getaway! This mountain cabin in Colorado was everything we hoped for and more. Nestled in a truly remote and peaceful location, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The views were absolutely breathtaking— a mountain stream, snow-capped peaks, and stunning views of the valley, right from the porch. One of the biggest highlights was the incredible wildlife—we were lucky enough to spot moose on several occasions. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. Every detail felt thoughtful and intentional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were exceptional—responsive, kind, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. If you're looking for a peaceful, scenic retreat with a true Colorado wilderness experience, this place is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to come back!

We spent a wonderful stay at Monica’s Cabin. She always was very nice and attended all the answers we had and gave us advice about the zone. The cabin is nested in a remote but amazing landscape yet close to the beautiful town Fairplay. The wilderness surrounds the place and it’s a joy to feel the spring breeze sitting at the porch.Thank you very much to Monica for sharing that little piece of paradise.

We came into town early for a wedding in Denver and spent a few nights before here before heading down. This is the quintessential Colorado mountain home you imagined. High elevation in between two higher peaks with a trout stream and pond running through the property. Quiet and secluded but not hard to get to at all. The stars were amazing and even loved the early 8 of snowfall that quickly went away. About the only downside was we did not see the Moose that everyone else wrote about. We did many hikes around Hosier Pass, walked around Breckenridge and went horseback riding in the changing Aspens down towards Fairplay.

We had an absolute wonderful stay at this house. Everything is as advertised. It is in a remote and quiet place in the wilderness. Moose sightings everyday sometimes within 50-60 feet of the house or driveway. If you want to get away from the noise and traffic of the city, this is a place you should consider for sure.

My family and I spent the long Labor Day weekend at this fantastic log cabin in the mountains. What a beautiful and relaxing location. I could sit all day just looking out at the mountains and listening to the babbling Sacramento Creek that cuts through the property. The complete darkness of the night offers incredible star viewing.

This home exceeds expectations. The setting is incredible in both beauty and solitude. We saw over 40 different types of wildflowers when we hiked up the ridge and we enjoyed amazing views of the surrounding peaks. The house is well appointed and supplies. It a great getaway.
