Summary:

Nestled at the foot of Lookout Mountain, Eliza Cabin offers a private hot tub, furnished back deck, covered front deck with a charcoal grill, and a shared fire pit. It accommodates 6 guests and has a main bedroom, a sleeping loft and built-in bunk beds.

The Space:

Wauhatchie Woodlands is a family-owned collection of quaint, tiny-home, rustic-comfort log cabins on a 14-acre wooded property surrounded by National Park land. This natural setting is nested less than a mile from the city with quick access to downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, and the surrounding area.

Named after Frank & Nicole's host-daughter from Moldova, Eliza Cabin is equipped with everything you could ever need to make the most of your time in Chattanooga.

Eliza is one of our bunk bed cabins, perfect for families. During your stay, you’ll enjoy a private hot tub, furnished back deck, fire pit, covered front porch with charcoal grill, and an incredibly memorable, charming space surrounded by nature. Eliza can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests between the main bedroom, built in bunk beds, and sleeping loft. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, smart TV, and more.

Starting from the back, you’ll find the fully furnished deck, surrounded by decades-old trees, there awaits a space of pure relaxation, your private hot tub, with easy access to the main bedroom. Just beside the cabin is the shared fire pit and pavilion, perfect for fireside chats and evening s'mores. Firewood can be purchased on-property.

Inside, the main bedroom hosts a queen bed, closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage, and a Smart TV. Just outside the bedroom are the built in bunk beds across from the full bathroom with bathtub.

A step further we enter the kitchen, fully stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and all the dishes you need to whip up a vacation feast. The living room and kitchen feature an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings with the main TV across from the sofa.

Up the staircase is the sleeping loft equipped with two twin beds. Kids will love having their own space. For grownups, clearance in the loft is low, just 4' - it’s perfect for sleeping, just watch your head when you get up.

The cabin’s covered front porch with dining set is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee, or grilling out on your dedicated charcoal grill (guests must provide their own charcoal).

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance.

We are pleased to allow dogs at Eliza Cabin, under specific terms and conditions. See our house rules/notes for more information.

Pack ‘n Play Travel cribs are available upon request.

My family and I really enjoyed staying at the tiny cabin. Even though the train tracks were near it was not a bother to us. The fire place area with the gazebo was beautiful. We did have an issue trying to get in the cabin but that was resolved quickly. The only thing that was a bother was there were a few nails heads sticking up on the bathroom floor.

Second time we have stayed at the woodlands tiny cabins and plan to visit again in the future. Cabin was clean, great location, and the hot tub was chefs kiss. The only con is the train coming through at all hours of the night but they do have ear plugs and sound machines in the cabin.

This was the perfect spot to stay for an afternoon and night before getting back on the road. There was plenty to do and explore outside to keep us busy and relaxing for our short stay.

Greay stay. Perfect area. Bathroom needed some extra attention. Leftover hair from previous guest and some of the laminate floor tiles were coming up. Super enjoyable stay. Had everything we needed!

Cute cabins. Cozy. They have everything you need and a hot tub! Great communication and quick to respond. Definitely recommend. Understand they are near rail road tracks but you kind of get used to it.

Initial impressions were our cabin was amazing! For the price and location, we had really got a deal! Hot tub was great and the space was ALMOST perfect for a family of 4 (felt a little small at times, especially the bathroom). Overall we had a great time in Chattanooga, but having stayed 5 days, we definitely have feedback. While the cabin looked very sturdy, every interior wall was paper thin and we could hear things in the bedroom that were happening upstairs. The floor in the bathroom and hallway were flexing a lot, which worried us a bit. So much so, the vinyl plank was breaking...probably from flooding or something. The kitchen supplies were a bit thin, so we were glad we brought some of our cooking pots. Finally, the 2 cabins up the hill from us had privacy curtains while we didn't...making it seem like we were cheated a bit there. Had a great time in Chattanooga, but Eliza definitely needs a little TLC.

The cabin was great and perfect for our family if 4. It did drop down to the 30s and we could not figure out how to get the heater to work so as Floridians we froze at night. Finally searched it on google the last night and got it working. My only complaint is it is right next to a train switching yard to at all hours including 1am you can hear loud bangs from the train engine trying to hook up to the cars that would scare the crap out of us in the middle of the night. The pots in the kitchen were also to small to cook anything for a family with. We tried to make spaghetti and had to make two batches because they were to small to boil pasta in. Other than small pots the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed including coffee, wine glasses, sugar, marshmallow sticks ect. The location was perfect and close to everything and the hot tub was wonderful after a day of walking. The beds we super comfortable and the kids absolutely loved having there own space in the loft. We will definitely come back and recommend to our friends.

Super great stay. A private hot tub after 10 & 13 mile hikes is life changing. Kitchen was stocked with anything you need to cook with. Looks like they're adding a fire pit right next door (probably community use), but I'm not brave enough to light anything on fire. I loved it. Would definitely stay here again. One small thing - and not a big deal - almost all the windows were unlocked when I arrived at the cabin. Not a big deal, they're super easy to lock. Just a reminder - no matter where you stay, check windows for safety.

Hard to sleep last night for the party going on. Got a call this morning of an emergency. Since it's a non refundable location, we paid a LOT of money to stay less than 15 hours. ?
