Settle in to this lakefront cabin, launch your small boat and cast a rod to land a hefty rainbow or brown trout from the front yard, stroll among the aspen, and have quick access to the legendary splendor of Glacier National Park. Guests are a mere 20 minutes from the Park, as both the Many Glacier and St. Mary’s entrances invite visitors to explore the wonders of the Crown of the Continent. Hikers will find that the perfect Glacier Park trail is near. The area has been a fishing havenfor us, and it is near to well over a dozen lakes and rivers, each of which has abundant trophy-class trout.

The cabin is a perfect home away from home. Large windows showcase the lake. You’ll find 3 bedrooms, which include 2 main-level bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and a loft bedroom (2 queen beds). A large bathroom, with a shower, is located on the main level. Laundry facilities are on-site. The kitchen is well-appointed with basic cooking supplies, a large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and range/oven. A barbecue on the front deck is the perfect place from which to enjoy the lake view. The living room has a TV for watching DVDs, a video library, board games, and a gas fireplace.

The area is wild and scenic, but also offers many convenient amenities. There are several restaurants, a gas station, and grocery store within a 15 minute drive of the cabin.

There are few things in the world more satisfying than an escape to one of Montana’s favorite treasures; wildlife and scenic vistas abound. Whether your spirit calls you to wander from your cabin or you’d like to settle in and gaze at the scenery from the ample covered deck, you’ll find your happiness here. The perfect vacation calls you to Duck Lake.

We do not supply bear spray, previous guests sometimes leave bear spray. Verizon is the only service in this area. Internet is Star Link, being remote does have a slower connection. More users tends to slow down service.
The drought has extremely hurt Duck Lake.

Can’t say enough amazing things about this stay. We loved Larry and Linda and the cozy homey hospitality of the cabin. The perfect spot to rest our heads after long days of exploring! Right on the lake. Grilled our fish outside and watched sunrise from the cabin. Nothing but great things. Will be coming back!

This property was perfect for accessing the East side of Glacier. Close to St Mary and lots of amenities. The house had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable home away from home.

Excellent location, halfway between Many Glacier and Sun Road. Well stocked and clean. Owners live next door, very kind and caring. Recommend stocking groceries before coming to the East side of the park, store has limited selection and expensive; but East side is much less crowded and better views. Loved Two Sisters cafe! Thank you Linda and Larry!

This property was perfect for our group of 5. On the quieter East side of Glacier, the cabin was the perfect distance from the St. Mary or Many Glacier entrances. Linda was very kind and responsive. Alice, the cat, was an added bonus.

We had a great time at the home. This place is small and quaint but easily fit 7 of us. 25 minutes from Many Glacier was perfect. It was in such a peaceful place and had all the items we needed to stay put if we needed. Can’t wait to come back!

Place was nearly perfect for a guy hiking trip. Beds were comfortable, dead quiet, really nice porch overlooking the lake. It is important to know that the Internet is poor. Couldn't watch videos, stream anything, or check in for flights unless we had Verizon service.

This little cabin on Duck Lake served as a perfect base camp for our explorations of Glacier National Park. Larry and Linda were wonderfully welcoming hosts—such great communication and an extra sweet deal to have them right next door in case we needed anything. Cabin was clean, tastefully decorated in cabin decor, and filled with everything we needed to make our stay so enjoyable. We loved meeting Alice too! Thank you SO much!

The house on Duck Lake was a very serine property, and in an excellent location for visiting all the locations on the east side of Glacier National Park. The neighborhood was very calm and quiet, and the hosts were very friendly when we reached out to them.

We stayed for 5nights in May ,2024. We enjoyed the proximity to the East entrances to Glacier National Park- perhaps 30 minutes to Many Glacier or St Mary’s. The three bedrooms , full kitchen and back porch overlooking Duck Lake were perfect when we came back from a day of hiking or driving. Linda and Larry are wonderful hosts and Alice and her big brother dog, Fluffy, who live next door made occasional friendly visits. I think that made the stay EVEN BETTER! The home is built with a modern lodge flair and cleaned perfectly. The 1 hour trip up to Canada’s Waterton Park is also very convenient and worth the day trip. I’d stay here again upon visiting the area. East side is so much less congested than west side. Apple Maps directs you well. Google maps gets a little confused.
