This log home was built in 2007 and features a spacious well supplied kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Hand crafted woodwork is found throughout the house. Two fireplaces compliment the great room and the lower level man cave. Three private bedrooms and a loft bedroom compliment the home. There are 2 1/2 bathrooms with a whirlpool tub in the master bath.

Large sections of state land for deer hunting and upland game with this area being known for its grouse and woodcock populations.

If just relaxing and getting away from it all is your passion then enjoy the swing on the large front porch with your morning coffee or sit on the back deck overlooking a meadow with Big Creek flowing through it. A portion of the deck is screened for your comfort.
This log home is a hunting and fishing cabin. There are many wildlife and fish mounts throughout the house as well as pictures and books about hunting and fishing. If any firearms are on the property they will be locked in a safe.
All together this is what Northern Michigan is about.
We built this cabin because of it's abundance of wildlife and it's access to the local rivers. We have enjoyed the beauty that it presents to us on a daily basis.l
What Ana maxing cabin! We stay in 6-8 VRBO’s per year and this one stands out. Highly recommend this property! FYI…. No internet and spotty cell reception which was amazing. Happy relaxing here!
Great house and property! We had a great time and it’s very relaxing and would definitely go back. The only down side is really no cell reception except in the kitchen, but wasn’t a deal breaker we would just be more prepared for next time. Also, there wasn’t much of a path down to the creek but we still managed to make it there. Would be a perfect spot to clear a small area for some chairs and to be able to sit by the creek.
Its a long story for the title. All 8 of us had a great time. We had everything we needed to have a very enjoyable time
Great property to stay at, everything you could need and more! Communication with the host was great, answered all our questions before and after booking. We brought our ATVs and trails were easily accessible. Great place to spend the week enjoying the outdoors!
We all had a great weekend stay and enjoyed the very spacious cabin, privacy, and secluded location. The house is very well stocked with lots of great and helpful amenities. Communication before our stay with hosts was very easy and responsive. Thanks again.
Wonderful well appointed property with all the amenities of a home located in a very remote and beautiful setting. Could not have been more comfortable. My compliments to the host.
We enjoyed our stay at the Dream Log Cabin. We planned a golf trip for our sons and found this listing that was relatively close to the golf course. The cabin has everything needed for your stay. Lots of fun things to look at in the home. Only drawback is that the trail to the creek isn’t maintained so there’s no view of the water or way to get to it. The property is very secluded if that’s what your looking for.
We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful cabin,
Overall we could not of asked for more. The property is absolutely beautiful and secluded. Not a far drive from the north branch of the au Sable with plenty of places to fish. Will be renting again in the future.
Our family of four spent a long holiday weekend at Rick and Ann's lovely cabin. The cabin was everything it promised to be - very tranquil and peaceful with no one to disturb us, except for the occasional woodland creature that kept us company while we spent time outside playing games and cooking over the campfire out back. This home is quite large, which is what we were looking for - for everyone to have their own space they could retreat to when they wanted to, as well as large gathering spaces for the family to have meals and spend time together. The home is very spacious and beautifully decorated. As the listing says, there is not great internet on the property or in the area, which was fine for us, as we were really looking to get away and unplug from everything for a few days. We would definitely love to come back here again in the future!
We were four adults who golfed during the day and enjoyed the quite solitude in the evening. Appreciated the fire put, although we could have used more firewood. The whole house was like a lodge and very well furnished with everything you could want. The only thing we thought was missing was a map of the area and we would have liked to hiked to the nearest water, done some fishing and exploring, but could not find any cleared paths. Be sure to explain explicit directions to property, because you are correct…the GPS directions were way off!! It was a great adventure for us!
The log cabin was great. Everything was clean and nice. Everything was provided and more. The property was really nice and full of nature. Loved the front porch and back deck for just hanging out and enjoying nature. Very happy with the whole experience. Thanks!
Fanatic stay. Everything was exactly as described with the property. Great place, great location, great communication. Highly recommend if you are looking to get away from it all and just enjoy being outdoors in nature.
Property is quite elaborate about what it offers in amenities, including widespread worded views and absolute quietness. There were at least a dozen useful things we didn’t expect at the property and brought with us to realize that owners went extra mile to ensure convenient stay, including toothbrushes in all bathrooms. The cabin setting and interiors are so unique that we spent 2 hours just taking pictures. Thanks Rick and Ann. We made wonderful memories.
Very nice and well Maintained home. Secluded but Close enough to town to make a trip if needed. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Our family of 6 adults stayed at the Guild’s beautiful cabin for a week over the 4th of July. We enjoyed every minute of it and all it had to offer. We enjoyed the beautiful view and deck as well as nightly camp fires. We saw lots of wildlife including a bear! The accommodations were great and lots of amenities throughout the cabin. We will definitely be back!
The cabin was very spacious, clean and stocked well for cooking in. The grounds were very beautiful. We came to enjoy the ORV trails and we’re able to access local trails right from the cabin and it was close to other nearby trail systems. Perfect remote get away! Thank you for sharing your home.
Perfect
Relaxing and restorative! We had 7 adults. Everyone had enough for privacy as well as interaction. Table easily sits 8. The living room with two couches and rocker were comfy and roomy. From the wonderful back porch we saw a fox, bald eagle, rose breasted grosbeak, and brown creeper and many other birds. Home and kitchen were well stocked. Comfortable relaxing and homey. We will be back.
