AuSable River Rustic Cabin w/Central Air

We’ve been running from VRBO for over 10 years this by far one of the best places we’ve stayed at enjoyed everything about it

The cabin inside was really beautiful & wonderfully decorated. A great stay. Highly r commended.

Fantastic property with all the amenities and room to roam in a tranquil setting unmatched by most other places we have stayed. High quality furnishings with attention to detail and a very responsive host made our stay worry free.

Everything was great. The bedrooms were accommodating, kitchen was easy to access, laundry, bathroom were all very nice. The porches were great. We spent a lot of time sitting outside.

Extremely clean, host has thought of practically all of a guests needs. Peaceful and tranquil.

Magical is not an overstatement. A wonderful cabin with comfortable amenities.

Many thanks to Wendy and David for sharing their nature sanctuary with us! It was truly a magical experience. Inside the cabin our every comfort was met with cozy furniture, nice bedding and a well equipped kitchen. We relaxed by a campfire by the riverside with complimentary firewood from the owner. We are not fishermen, but we enjoyed sitting on the dock of the river as a couple of boats and wading fishermen went by. Thank you to the housekeeper for providing a spotless place!!! This cabin is at the top of favorites! We hope to return —-with a fishing pole .

It’s always a perfect stay at Wendy’s cabin on the Au Sable. Our 4 kids came for the second year in a row and couldn’t wait to giggle in the cozy bunk beds. We all went out and caught trout on the river directly in front of the dock. The sunroom was the perfect calm each morning with a cup of coffee. It’s immaculate and beautifully decorated.We are just so thankful to make memories together in this incredible cabin. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

My family and I had a great experience at Wendy's cabin. Communication was great and the cabin was more than advertised. This is also a great spot for fly fisherman.

We had a wonderful stay at this sweet cabin surrounded by nature. There are so many outdoor spaces to enjoy and just unplug. The cabin itself is perfect and well supplied. My wife and I had a great stay at the cabin, mixing a little fall fly fishing and relaxation. The property is excellent, as is the host. It is spotless, with everything you could need and then some. The cabin felt like a comfortable home and was appointed and supplied as such. Last, but not least is the location, on the river with easy access to town. Overall, 5 stars well earned.

The house was amazing, clean and everything you needed was provided. The view was great, loved sitting by the water and watching the fish jump. Thanks Wendy-we will see you next year.

2nd time staying at this hidden gem. Accommodations and communication with host are great, super clean, has everything you need besides a standard coffee maker. This is by design I do believe, to prevent people from putting coffee grounds down the sink. Keurig and oercolator are provides instead and work fine.

Absolutely beautiful! Owner was great to communicate with, the home was clean, comfortable and had everything you could think of! Very relaxing getaway! We will be back!

All our daily life stressors melted away as soon as we parked. This was our second visit to this wonderful property. We felt so fortunate to be next to the au sable. We fished, we relaxed, and enjoyed the peace. Thank you Wendy for sharing this space! There is no place better!

This was are first experience with renting a cabin we found the listing as advertised. We enjoyed are stay an look forward to coming back next year.

The author John Gierach says All Fishermen are Liars, this is in part is due to their reluctance to give up a good place the fish for fear others will ruin it. Well I’ll be the exception. Wendy’s River Place is the cleanest, most well equipped rental I’ve ever stayed at. We had four fishing cronies stay for four day and never once had to make a store run. Temperatures during our stay ranged from 35F at night to 83F in the afternoon (ah Michigan) and we were comfortable throughout. Even with a wheelchair we were able to successfully maneuver through the house. Our exceptions were a fishing cabin and we ended up we a place any of us would easily bring our wives and families to. As to Gierach’s concerns, we can only hope there will be availability next year for a return visit. To Wendy - well done, and thanks for sharing.

Beautifully organized and equipped cabin; right on the river. Wendy was very responsive. Anoitstanding place to stay.
