TESTIMONIALS;
September 2025, Stayed with a group- My families stay at the Wander inn cabin was above and beyond my expectations. Crista's cabin was clean and comfortable; had everything we needed to make our Yellowstone Vacation memorable. The cabin was a welcome site after a day in the park, knowing the hot tub was ready to relax in. Crista gave us lots of information and recommendations on things to do, restaurants in the Island Park area, all very helpful. We we're able to extend our stay two extra days at the last minute which we we're grateful for. We will definitely return to this beautiful peaceful cabin in the future.
June 2025, Stayed with a pet- Our stay in Island Park was incredible! This cabin is an absolute gem—spacious, beautifully kept, and spotlessly clean. It’s tucked in peaceful woods, creating the perfect escape, yet close enough for easy trips to Yellowstone. The kitchen had everything we needed, making it feel just like home. The host was amazing, full of great tips for exploring Island Park. We loved the lit path leading down to the ravine for peaceful morning coffee walks. Even our dogs felt spoiled, with bowls provided and space to roam. The hot tub was pure bliss after long days of adventure. We loved it so much we wanted to extend our vacation, but they’re so great they were already booked! Truly one of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in.

WELCOME TO YOUR RUSTIC LOG CABIN! It is in a quiet wooded neighborhood with large spacious lots. The property is adjacent to BLM land and is located just 30 miles from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park in West Yellowstone, Montana. This place is the perfect setting to relax after enjoying a multitude of adventures including fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, sledding, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ATV riding, boating, skiing and hiking. Come and enjoy the great outdoors and mountain views here at your ideal vacation location. *high clearance, 4WD with snow tires is necessary during the winter months in the Island Park mountain terrain and to access the cabin during snowy months.

This cabin has a comfortable queen bed in its master suite with an en suite private bathroom located up a rustic and inviting staircase. Adjacent to the master bedroom, there is a spacious upstairs loft with two queen sized beds for your comfort. These rooms are upstairs so take note if you have limited mobility. If mobility is difficult, you will be pleased to find two additional bedrooms equipped with queen size beds and an additional bathroom on the main floor. All bedding is freshly laundered with additional pillows and blankets to make your stay extra comfortable.

The main floor also includes a large open concept kitchen and living room. With a grocery store just minutes away and a fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities provided, you can prepare a marvelous home cooked meal. There is ample dishware, silverware, quality cookware, and appliances all for your use. Create memories with your loved ones in this unique open concept kitchen. There is even a highchair stowed away in the bedroom closet. If you prefer dining out, your cabin is within minutes of multiple fast food or fine dining restaurants. Just off the kitchen is where you can relax in your wonderfully cozy living room. This inviting living room has a cozy gas fireplace where you will be able curl up with a good book or watch your favorite show on the big screen television.

Your spacious bathroom downstairs includes all the fresh towels you need to get tidied up after your adventures. Complimentary starter toiletries are available. In the hallway across from the bathroom, there is a washer and dryer closet where you may tidy up your clothes, if needed. There are even additional towels for you to use while enjoying the relaxing hot tub. Please be advised, use of a hot tub can be difficult or hazardous for some individuals with mobility issues including the elderly and children.

Your large, private decks provide room for everyone to sit and enjoy the fresh mountain air and wildlife in the surrounding pine and aspen groves. Experience a fun dinner on your barbecue grill or gather around a crackling fire with warmth and songs at your open outdoor fire pit. Please check local burn restrictions prior to lighting a fire in the pit.

Cell phones work very well at the cabin with internet access/WIFI available at all times. With that being said, the city of Island Park does occasionally experience slow service during peak vacation times due to the influx of users. This occurs throughout the entire area of Island Park.

This cabin is open year 'round and is conveniently situated in a central location for a variety of activities. You will be within minutes of some of the area's best adventures. Of course, you're very close to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons with all they to offer. This cabin is close to waterways including Island Park reservoir, and Henry's Lake State Park. And, in the winter ice fishing at Henry's is amazing! Did you know record fish are frequently caught there! Travel south on Highway 20 from your place and you can visit the roaring Mesa Falls, or north on Highway 20 and experience the wonder of Johnny Sack Cabin at Big Springs or the majesty of Sawtelle Peak. There is world class fly fishing on Henry's Fork of the Snake River or on the Madison River. Enjoy a live dinner theater close by at Mack's Inn Playhouse. Relax and soak up nature during a float trip, on hiking trails, during a horseback ride, or even a round of golf at Island Park Village Resort. Take a few hours to hike around Harriman State Park or visit their historical ranch community. This location is a snowmobiler's paradise. Take your sled to some of the area's best trails accessible right from your cabin's front door! There is definitely something for every level of rider. Enjoy over 500 miles of trail riding or be a little more adventurous boondocking in some of the softest over-the-hood powder ever! Ride the best back country hills and steep climbs that you can imagine!

During the winter months we keep the main driveway plowed and the walkways cleared. For your convenience, a snow shovel will greet your arrival at the front door in case any additional snow has fallen. The driveway in front of the cabin will accommodate 2-3 vehicles. There is a convenient large parking area about a mile away just off Stampede Meadows Rd for trailers. You are welcome to drive your sleds up to the cabin so you can hit the trails early! High clearance, four-wheel drive is necessary for Island Park and Yellowstone's mountain terrain during the winter and snowy weather. During the winter, please check on parking availability a few days prior to your arrival.

The beautiful mountain area is noted for its native wildlife with a mama moose actually bedding down right in your yard! Keep an eye out for fox, elk, deer, and a beautiful array of birds and woodland creatures in the adjacent aspen grove. If you listen closely, you may hear the calls of the resident bald eagle and her two chicks. This cabin is definitely a nature lover's peaceful retreat! Please note that there are all sorts of wildlife in the mountains so you may consider bringing your favorite repellent and be sure to do what you can to not bring them into the cabin with you. And, when booking any cabin in the woods, you will expect to encounter insects, spiders and other wildlife. It is part of the experience. Your cabin is not hermetically sealed so bugs, spider, and all sorts of wildlife may enter the property. Please keep the doors closed so they do not enter unexpectedly.

A starter supply of coffee service, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, body wash and dish soap are provided. However, depending on personal preference or consumption, you may need to bring or buy extra supplies during your stay. There is a small county grocery store North on Highway 20 called Sam Patch Co. where we do all of our shopping when we stay at the cabin.

This is a NON-SMOKING cabin. We are also under a county ordinance for short term rentals and ask that our guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health. We ask that you please stay within capacity limits, read the burn ordinance and please be neighborly. Please be aware that this cabin is on community electrical and WIFI systems and we pass along the most current recommendations from them to our guests as applicable. For protection, video and audio can be motion activated and monitored on the outside of the property at the front door looking out toward the parking area. By booking this property you acknowledge and agree to the rental agreement that is sent with a confirmed reservation. You are also responsible to your own health and safety during and after you stay at this property and management and/or owners are not liable. And travel insurance is good to have if you are worried about anything that may hinder your ability to stay.

We look forward to your stay here at Wander Inn!

Our favorite Island Park stay to date! The cabin was so cozy and clean, and had the perfect cabin vibe. The hot tub was AMAZING. We started every morning and ended every night in the hot tub, it was the perfect temp and so comfortable. We have already booked our next stay because we enjoyed it so much!

This is a cute rustic cabin that sleeps 10. It was bigger than I thought it would be. Beautiful property! Very quiet and relaxing, just what I needed to unwind and recharge. We took a quick day trip to Yellowstone and saw the beautiful fall colors. The host was very communicative and quickly responded to questions we had. We hope to come back here.

This canin was so cozy and we loved being able to hangout by the firepit and around the kitchen table at night. My kids walked through the woods and had a great time by the creek. I especially loved the little extras for the dog to ensure our whole family felt welcome. The hot tub was a huge hit as well. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and will definitely keep this cabin on the short list for quick weekend getaway.

We had a lovely stay at the cabin, it is very nice and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, the cabin was clean and very comfortable, the hot tub was enjoyable on the back deck and we were lucky to see moose wandering through while we were there! Crista our host was great and promptly answered what few questions we had. There were clear instructions at the house for anything we needed and it was a great place to come back to after a fun day of activities around Island Park each day. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend this cabin to couples and families visiting the area with dogs.

Absolutely loved our stay at Wander Inn! Highly recommend! Remote enough to feel secluded but also close enough to access restaurants, groceries and National Parks and Forests. The creek, hot tub and hammock were big hits with our family. We traveled with four adults and three teenage boys. We felt like there was plenty of space and things for everyone to do. As added bonuses the host provided plenty of towels, paper goods, and even full sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash. If you are traveling in summer do not let the idea of no air conditioning deter you. It was upper 80s for our trip and we were comfortable the whole time. There are tower fans in the bedrooms which helped cool everything off quickly.

The cabin was great, just what we expected and more, the cabin is well stocked with some extras from other guest (spices and the like) the host was very understanding as we had our dates wrong, I can highly recommend this for a family. Some of the family liked it so much they stayed there instead of going to the park with the rest of us. peaceful and quiet, cant ask for more

We had a great time at Wander Inn while staying in the area for our snowmobile tour in Yellowstone. Cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything. You need good tires to access the cabin in the winter, we were good, but it’s worth noting. The cabin is a little creaky and the walls are a little thin, but it was ok for our group. The area is beautiful and peaceful.

Older very cozy cabin. Plenty of parking for 6 snowmobiles and two enclosed trailers with trucks. We had 6 adults and a child. We could have invited another couple, with plenty of room. It snowed all weekend, we had a blast.

It's a lovely little house deep in the woods. Neighbors are few and far between. Nice hot tub, fits about 3-4. We saw a whole family of moose from the back porch—plenty of space for 6+.

After doing all the tourist stuff during the day with the family, going back to the quiet and charming cabin was exactly what we all needed to unwind for the nights. Crista was very responsive to questions. Will be recommending to friends and family who are heading out that way! Thanks again! The Lohse Family.

The property was terrific; it was nicely stocked, and we opened the door and took pictures of the mama moose and her baby one morning. We caught fish offshore and also rented a boat another day. We enjoyed hanging out, playing Giant Jenga, and spending quality time with each other, making memories.Thank you for the beautiful place; the location is perfect.

Gorgeous property. Just what we were looking for - a secluded place in the woods. The hot tub was perfect for our 38 degree days and snow in mid June?!?! My boys claimed they found their new favorite place. No doubt we will be back!
