Stayed Mar 8, 2024The house is a dream. Fully equipped. We didn’t need to pack anything house related. The house is beautifully decorated and well cared for. One thing I would suggest would be to go through the board games. Some were missing pieces but we just substituted the missing pieces out for something different and we were able to play still. Everything was super easy to find and the instruction book was a wonderful touch. This was our first time renting a house for a weekend. I really enjoyed our stay. Pretty sure it’s ruined hotels for me going forward

Stayed Aug 1, 2025The house feels a bit more rustic in person than we felt like the photos conveyed. The house certainly has the things you need in terms of serving wares and toys/games which is nice. While the posting is certainly accurate in describing its proximity to the lake, later in the summer when the water is low, it's quite a walk to get to the water's edge and the path from the house takes you by a not inconsiderable pile of trash, which was pretty disheartening to see. We've stayed at other properties in that area that felt like a much better deal for the price. Vacasa answered our questions quickly.

Stayed Jul 28, 2025Arrived at 4pm & cleaner still there. Said he was almost done and by 4:30pm we were able to enter. Pros-big house, nice back patio, plenty of beds. Many Cons- The house has no a/c they did provide fans throughout the house but ceiling fan in living room did not work. The screen door was ripped wide open, so to get fresh air in the house also came flies and bugs. Back deck had a broken rickety step that quickly came apart, missing half a step- which was an open hole to step through while going down the stairs. The front porch railing was not secured on the bottom making another safety hazard. The mudroom had 3 lights, only 1 was working, making it very dark. Also 1 kitchen light was out. The stairs inside going upstairs where all the kids would stay- has very wide openings all the way up for a child to fall through. The kitchen had odds and ends that looked like garage sale pickings of random bowls, platters, mismatched Tupperware. The kids bunkbed sheets weren’t washed and had stains and debris on them. There was a shortage of handsoap so we had to switch them back and forth between bathrooms and kitchen. When we arrived the cleaning person had just started a load of dishes, so we had to put those away & there was a load of laundry not started. Floors dirty with beer caps. I did immediately message about most issues with a delayed response asking for picts which I sent. Rec’vd msg saying they would consider “compensation” of course haven’t heard back Would not stay again

Stayed Jul 17, 2025We had a good time at the cabin! Check in was smooth. The extra long table was great for board games and shared meals for our group of 8. The kids loved the bunk bed set up. The property was very quiet and had almost everything you’d need. The only thing was that there is no AC and with all the fans going, it was very difficult to air out and cool down even into the late evening hours. We couldn’t close some of the blinds either to reduce the heat. Overall, it was a good stay and we enjoyed our time!

Stayed Jul 6, 2025Definitely a cute spot and great if going with a couple families with kids. The site does make it seem like the lake is closer to the house than it is. Don't get me wrong, it is super close, but the trail is a bit tight and steep, especially with kids or packing anything. Much easier to just drive over to Steeyli Beach Access and just drive onto the beach. Luckily we had a good vehicle for sand travel. The house was great though and had all that we needed for a couple day stay. It did get very hot so be prepared to turn on the fans and open the windows at night! We had a wonderful time though and plan to be back!

Stayed Jun 27, 2025This property is nothing like it seems. The trail to beach is non existent with heavy equipment on beach blocking your trail down. It is not secluded which it seems in picture. You are actually in a HOA with houses on your side of you. The cleaning was definitely not dove dirt on floor and chairs and everything covered in dust. Too bad for my daughter’s special getaway. We were not able to enjoy lake since everywhere else is private property heading down. I paid almost 2000 with fees and taxes for 2 nights and what a disappointment for that kind of money!

Stayed May 9, 2025The house and neighborhood are beautiful, and the lake is amazing. I would absolutely rent this house again, but only if I could book directly with the owners. The experience with Vacasa, the property management company, was awful and completely ruined what should have been a great stay.We booked through VRBO and only found out after that the home was managed by Vacasa. From the beginning, they gave us inaccurate information about the house. When we arrived, they ignored every issue we raised. One chair was broken and actually cut our backs. Toilets were backed up. The house was not cleaned properly. There was half-eaten food left behind, including a jar of peanut butter smeared on pantry shelves, which triggered a peanut allergy attack. We had to go out and buy cleaning supplies just to make the kitchen safe to use, because there were none provided except dish soap and a sponge.Worst of all, Vacasa would not respond. We had to go through VRBO just to get anyone to pay attention. Even then, they said only a local agent could help us… that agent never contacted us and nothing was done. This place deserves better management. I hope the owners reconsider who they trust with their beautiful home.

Stayed Aug 9, 2024We had a really great time with the whole family here. We brought a couple atv’s during our stay and they came in handy when riding down to speeliy beach ! The house is nice and cozy and very lean when we arrived. Kitchen came loaded with dishes, cups, pans etc with anything you would need! We wouldn’t mind staying here again ?
