De's Cottage on the River, A Quiet Getaway from the Everyday World

It was the cutest little cabin. It rained but we were able to stay warm by the fire. The walk down to the river was pretty easy. Tons of stuff to do nearby. We had a great time! I hope to come back again sometime.

Amazing property and great energy. Its a cozy cottage with lots of areas to soak in sun, relax, visit, etc. River access was amazing as well, since it was a weekday, we had the whole area to ourselves!

Such a sweet cottage, steps away from the river. Michael and His wife were beyond gracious hosts!! We loved it so much, booked it again for next year :)

Everything was wonderful during my 2nd stay at De’s cottage. Great location. Wonderful private beach. Quiet escape from the hubbub in Guerneville. Comfortable house with everything you may need. Good strong shower. Definitely hope to return.

If you like the kind of VRBO stay that is like staying in a friend's house while they're gone, then you'll like this. Dee's cottage is comfy, well-supplied, and has backyard access to a semi-private beach in a lagoon-like space connected to the river. I also liked the well-stocked kitchen (I hate places where you have to buy or bring every little thing yourself) and the porch swing which is a great hangout spot for playing an instrument.There's also a tiny little island in the lagoon with a picnic table that you can get to from a path right next door.

We had a wonderful stay at De's Cottage! The cottage is warm, comfortable, and very family-friendly. It's a very short walk down to the river where my kiddo enjoyed fishing. The home is clearly loved and well-lived in, but very well maintained and comfortable. Good to know: there are steps up to the main floor (not a problem for us), but with the steps come some beautiful views. The cottage is a short drive Guerneville's downtown if you want to eat out and enjoy other activities. We highly recommend De's Cottage!

Wonderful rustic cottage with lots of space, beautiful woodwork inside, in a wonderful setting. Waking up to the sound of birds, then strolling down to the river on a tree covered path reinforces your feeling of well being. Kitchen well equipped. Good hot shower. One warning, there are lots of steps outside which were not a problem at all for me and I am over 70years old, but could be for someone else.

My daughter, dogs and I had a great stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the property as it was beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. The neighbors are very friendly and inviting.We had a little mishap with no power and lights in the bathroom and there could have been a little more attention to detail with overall cleanliness in the kitchen and windowsills.Never the less. . . nothing that would prevent us to come again. Thank you, Michael for sharing. We got the R&R we needed for our short weekend trip.

Well appointed cabin in a great location! We stayed for a couple nights for a getaway with our 3 month old and had a lovely time amongst the redwoods.

Perfect for Two seniors looking for cozy and quiet. Loved cooking and kicking back. Kitchen was great. Freezer not freezing. Thanks for Having us.

Very comfortable home with lots of space to be cosy together or to find time alone. Great outdoor areas for both sunshine and shade. Big kitchen and living room areas with plenty of light. The shower was great - hot water and strong water pressure - very appreciated! We took walks around the neighborhood and could see/hear the river from the property (as expected, no river/shore access this visit due to recent winter rains.). We would definitely visit again. Thanks to our hosts for their hospitality and easy check in/out.

Cozy, comfortable cottage; great neighborhood; convenient location on the river and close to downtown Guerneville. Could not be more pleased with our stay.

Was exactly what my teen and his friends were looking for. A cottage on the river for a fun weekend. Enough privacy and peace. All accomidations were met. Its far into a country-like neighborhood on narrow road so drive carefully.
