This is the original Golconda Resort owner's cabin, built in 1947 and updated for maximum comfort. Stayed Sep 15, 2025Inside was clean. The outside could use some cleaning up. It wasn’t bad, just the seating area on the porch and the windows could have been cleaner. Overall, it was fantastic. The area was great. The host stayed in touch, making sure everything was well. Would definitely rent again.

Stayed Oct 20, 2024Don and Cyndi are the most gracious host. They were very accommodating to our family and their communication is probably the best we’ve seen amongst all of our vacation rentals we’ve ever had. Their property sits on what is arguably the most beautiful place in the Lake City area. Just outside of your window you can see Lake San Cristobal. The home is very well kept very well stocked and provides so many things that you wouldn’t think you needed! They go above and beyond to ensure that you not only have a comfortable but fun stay.

Stayed Oct 12, 2024We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. There were no surprises when we arrived, everything was exactly as we expected it to be based on the photos and descriptions. This area of the country is absolutely beautiful and if you like the outdoors there is an abundance of things to explore.

Stayed Jul 12, 2024Cabin is PERFECT in everyway!!!! Everything from 2 Grills -Charcoal/Propane!!! Kayaks, and Canoe to relax in after a long day of riding!! Perfectly located across the street from Lake San Cristobal!!! (Mountain Views are spectacular!!! Fishing Poles provided for fishing, Playground for the kids Perfectly located on Alpine Loop!!! What more can you ask for! Its a Little Slice of Heaven on Earth!!! Will be back next year!!
