Deer Bed Den / Blue Door at 11 Chimneys

Great little cabin in the woods. Perfect for our family of four. Definitely felt like you were away from everything but still close enough to anything you needed. My husband and I absolutely love the hikes around the area.

Couch very uncomfortable, lighting horrible, wifi very inconsistent. The patio furniture did not look clean and was uninviting as an alternate place to sit down and relax. Positive note, the sheets were soft as butter. There was no rules of stay other than an online version. A problem due to very intermittent wifi.

Booked a long weekend here in mid-June with my adult daughter and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great neighborhood, quick drive into Idyllwild, and 2 lovely decks for enjoying games and long chats. Both beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen has most of what you’ll need. No A/C, but lots of fans, which you’ll need in the warmer monthsInternet/wifi is spotty and only for low streaming data like texting, so it may be why we weren’t able to watch the news or use streaming services. D

Some of the tree limbs/shrubs need to be cleared away from the path to be able to see the blue door. No water pressure for a shower. TV never worked. Wi-fi needs a booster or something that would allow the tv and devices to work. It was nice having a tray of ice but there should be at least two trays instead of one. There were no washcloths to wash our face with. Only hand towels. We never used anything in the kitchen but I did notice the dishes and cookware that was there in case someone did need them.

The property is MUCH smaller than shown in the listing. Both of its outdoor decks are not private. One of them looks out on the parking lot in full view of multiple other cabins/people parking. They boast a large soaking tub but then have a sign inside that’s say you can’t use it as a tub. The bathroom was an add on and is so hot during the day it’s like a sauna and to cold to use at night/early morning. It’s supposed to be recently remodeled but the only sign of this is the appliances. The sink sprayer was never even attached. The front shower handle comes off when you try to turn on use the shower. The water pressure is so low it’s hard to get the shampoo out of your hair. The arinondack chairs on the second patio are in disrepair and unusable. That patio overlooks an abandoned pool and has other cabins windows that are in direct sight. The only way to watch the very tiny tv that is leaning on the mantle is to stand right in front of it because the couch is to far away and to low to view it. There is no a/c and Many of the windows don’t have screens so you can’t open them for air without letting in all the mosquitoes. The housekeeping left a bag of laundry on the couch. We have no idea if it was dirt or clean. We arrived an hour early so we sent the host a message about permission to enter but received no response. We really wanted to enjoy this property and are not complainers, but this property does not live up to its listing

I love this place. It’s perfect for a quiet getaway in nature. The location is perfect…close to town a great coffee shop and diner yet the feeling of being away from everything. The porch was so nice for bird watching and quiet.

This was such a cute little cabin in the woods, definitely what we were going for for our weekend escape from the stress of the city. We had the unfortunate timing for cold, bad weather, but heaters were provided for the major rooms, making it comfortable. My only complaint is that the tile floor in the main bedroom was freezing to walk on! My dog was too cold to sleep on the floor. A rug would fix it easily. The property overall was charming and would be wonderful in warmer weather.

Great location close to town and everything else went on March, could use a deep cleaning and better heating for rooms and bathrooms. Only the living room has a heating system that works one of the bathrooms can not even be use is super cold and water pressure is really bad. On their firestick for tv I think someone forgot to logout on Prime tv you will not be able to buy a movie for your family this rental might be great for grown ups with no kids however you can still make work if you want to.

It is a nice cottage. Was very clean and comfortable . One of the bathrooms was an ice box. Most of the doors have drafts, you get cold air inside . It would be a great summer getaway. Overall it was nice .
