Dartmoor Reach is just a 10-minute drive from the stunning Dartmoor National Park, offering a unique glamping experience with the chance to hand-feed alpacas every day. More than just glamping, it features three beautiful cabins and a converted bus, providing comfortable accommodation for families. Each cabin sleeps four, designed for two adults and two children, with single beds measuring five feet long and two feet six inches wide. The Hen House is slightly smaller, reflected in the pricing. Cabins have a kitchenette with a gas hob, sink, and fridge, but no oven. Buttercup and Bluebell cabins include en suite WC facilities, while the Hen House has a private toilet and hot shower within 15 metres. The larger cabins also have an en suite toilet and an outdoor hot shower, all nestled beneath ancient oak trees in a five-acre field. This expansive space is home to twelve alpacas, thirty hens, ducks, and a couple of pigs. Each cabin is positioned to ensure privacy and unobstructed views. All huts are equipped with cutlery, plates, pots, and pans; linen and towels can be hired if needed. Each has a private deck with a picnic bench, sun loungers or day beds, fire pits, and logs available for purchase or hire. As a working farm, guests can expect to see alpacas outside their door, hens pecking around the fields, and pigs rooting in the mud. Children can enjoy play areas featuring a mud kitchen, wendy house, slide, and rope swing. Hosts Josh and Natalie live on-site and are happy to assist with any guest needs. Located on the edge of Dartmoor, the nearest Tor is Haytor, just ten minutes away by car. There are plenty of scenic walks nearby, including one to our award-winning local pub, The Claycutters Arms, South Hams Beaches close by.

The quiet and the birdsong. We wanted to switch off ad we did, just sitting and reading, drinking cold beers and listening to the birds. We also saw two birds of prey.

A friendly warm welcome from Josh and Natalie, the cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the Alpacas and the feeling of calm the farm has over you. We booked a private yoga class for myself, husband and daughter. Natalie was wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed the session, the atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing, I commented to Natalie it should be prescribed!! We were made to feel so welcome on the farm, we will definitely book a stay again.

We love the glamping at Dartmoor reach. We have just returned after our 2nd visit as we loved it so much the first time. We love the decked area on the cabins to enjoy relaxing in the sun and having meals and enjoying firepits under the stars whilst enjoying watching the alpacas. Kids loved having the freedom to explore the outdoor space and feed the animals. Josh and Natelie are great hosts and are really welcoming. Great location too for visiting Dartmoor.

As above, Heather and i could not fault anything about our 3 night stay, the hut was so clean, cosy and warm, the beds were extremely comfortable, all the amenities one needs for a short break from the outside world, sitting out on the decking in the mornings with a cuppa and watching the sun rise and the alpacas starting their day is just a sight to be seen. Natalie and Josh are such amazing hosts, very attentive to one's needs, nothing was to much trouble for them. Would recommend and revisit

We loved how close you can get to the animals on site, the host was friendly and full of info about the area, night times the quiet and darkness was a refreshing change from the city.

We spent two nights there and used it as a base to explore dartmoor and the devon beaches. Josh was very helpful and friendly and offered for my daughter to help feed the alpacas, which she loved. She also enjoyed finding the fairy doors scattered around the site. The hut was perfect - certainly large enough for the three of us and lovely and clean. There is a pub nearby which is great too - lots of fun for the kids too.
