This year we decided to go to North Carolina al for our Yearly winter vacation..We found Dancing Bears and were not disappointed, it was just as advertised, away from it all but not too far ..The management team was great and was there to answer any questions we had.Would definitely go back and would recommend it for anyone thinking of taking a trip to the area

The house was beautiful but not up to the normal level we always find with Verbo properties. It was the small things we found annoying and not renter friendly. No ice maker or even ice trays, no fitted sheets- which made our sleeping experiences horrible!, the paper products were very substandard so much that we went to town and bought our own toilet paper and paper towels, along with an 8.00 bag of ice! It would have been nice to have had a few comfortable chairs by the fire pit too. And the popcorn left for us was stale and out of date! Where were the coffee filters? Again, it’s the little things that matter and make for a positive experience! Not sure we’ll ever rent a Greybeard property again.

The cabin was great! It was a little remote but was easy to access. Beautiful views, quiet evenings and mornings with just the occasional noise of cars leaving the community. Initially the entry code did not work. It took several tries and about 10 minutes and suddenly the lock took the code and everything was fine. The town of Old Fort was cute but was very small and really had only one restaurant for dinner, Hillman Beer! It was fabulous! We brought our own hummingbird feeder and they found it quickly. We enjoyed watching them come while sitting in the deck. We were sure to bring it in whenever we left the cabin so it didn’t entice the bears and other wildlife to venture close to the cabin. The towns of Marion and Black Mountain were very close and both had cute shops and good restaurants. As long as you don’t mind curvy mountain roads and having a lot of piece and quiet, you’ll enjoy your stay at this cabin!

Compact but perfect for our family of five, beautiful setting with long range Mountain views - and we actually saw 2 bears entering the woods beyond the fence next to the property, they were not dancing but seemed very content!
