Cute and cozy cabin a minute walk from the lake.

The property was beautiful and so close to the lake. Maureen was so helpful and friendly it seemed like I knew her.

Let’s start with the good, Maureen’s house was well equipped both in the kitchen and bathroom. We liked all the toilet paper and everything for washing clothes and dishes. The place is small. The house inside and outside needs a good cleaning. For example, The second bedroom window has dirt and cobwebs. The side table in the master bedroom had lots of accumulated dust. The sliding doors have dirt in the crevices. The backyard was a mess! Cut grass blown everywhere, never been swept. Animal hair everywhere! Way over priced.

You cannot beat the location for one! The house is well thought out. So many extras from pots and pans to plenty of towels in the bathroom. Lots of space to move around from the living room and the kitchen. Each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan for hot evenings. Fully enclosed private backyard for my dog Duke. Lots of time spent on the back deck chatting with family and grilling hamburgers on the bar-b-que. It was pleasurable stay!

Great little cottage close to the beach. Nice and secluded with a great back area to relax.

Owner was extremely easy to communicate with and work with. Very cute cottage style and awesome location. We would stay here again.

The host was excellent to deal with and provided a wonderful experience for our family. Very responsive and considerate of our time. The cottage has a welcoming layout, everything you would need is supplied and walking distance to the lake. A must if you want a lake experience this summer!

We enjoyed a relaxing week in Sylvan Lake thanks to this little gem. The owner is friendly and very responsive. For example, when I told her we would run out of dishwasher tabs before the end of our stay, she ordered some from Amazon and they arrived the next day. It is very close to the beach and the main street of Sylvan Lake - more like a 5-10 minute walk (not one), but still very handy. It was nice to have both front and back outdoor spaces, so we could have sun or shade, depending on the weather. There is a fairly well stocked kitchen - things like sugar, S&P, brown sugar are provided. A few things to be aware of: “Cozy” = small. It was okay for our family of four, but a tight squeeze when our kids each had a friend and they slept in the living room on the blow-up mattress. One bathroom for six is not ideal. There aren't enough places to hang wet towels and bathing suits for 4-6 people. It was quite loud in the neighbourhood, but it’s probably not like that all the time. Neighbours on both sides were doing work outside, one from about 9am to 9pm on a Sunday. It would be nice if the backyard furniture was cleaner. Lots of dust and spiderwebs. But I imagine that's hard to maintain. All in all a lovely spot if you don't need a lot of space or anything fancy. Can't beat the proximity to the beach.

This cottage is adorable and clean, and in the perfect location! We walked everywhere we needed to be. Maureen was a dream host, too - excellent communication and a very easy check-in process. Would recommend, and will be back!

I hosted for the young adults in my family here. And it was cozy. Had everything we needed to have a great stay without having to run out for anything! The location was perfect to run back and forth to the beach. Location felt safe and secure. The back yard is private, with ample greenery We would recommend.

Close to the beach and downtown. Was a great stay - host was very co-operative and helpful. Temps were in the 30's and there is no AC this was the only downside but it was a heatwave! Other than that it was great, we loved the outside patio area to hang out in!

Best place to have a mini vacation!! Location was amazing, property was amazing and the property owner was outstanding!! Everything you need to cook with is in the house, horseshoes and fire pit outside!! We could not have asked for a better place to stay at!

Place was clean, backyard great needed to be washed down, fantastic location quiet area. Would stay again!

Perfect way to end the school year. My family had a wonderful stay. Location is great for a family.

This property is close to shops, restaurants and the lake. It was really cute and comfortable. We will try to book it again when we return.
