Seward, Alaska
This fine, recently built, custom, 2 story, open/loft log home sits on an acre and is nestled among thick spruce trees along a glacial stream with views of Mt. Alice and it's glaciers. We are in a quiet neighborhood only 5 minutes from downtown Seward and walking and biking distance to world class fishing. We offer a state-of-the-art kitchen, standalone bathtub, barbecue, fire pit, cable tv, Wi-Fi. Plenty of biking and hiking paths. Across the creek lies the world-famous Iditarod Trail. Includes 2 queen and two full beds, one of each on each floor.
A beautiful cabin a short distance from Seward, had all the conveniences needed for a family and plenty of room for 5.
Very nice cabin with open space design Full kitchen and well equipped
The cabin was well stocked and had everything we needed. The location is unmatched and had gorgeous views. Despite being near town you feel like you are deep in the woods surrounded by nature.
Enjoyed the property and amenities. Would recommend larger hot water heater as we had to stagger our showers. Also as commented from others, suggest the shower set up be changed.
My wife, daughter and her boyfriend really enjoyed the beautiful cabin in Bear Creek. It's rustic nature and quiet location with amazing views was what we needed for Seward. Great kitchen and living area. The shower was the only thing we had trouble with as it's in a tub with hanging curtains we couldn't figure out. Tough for tall folks. Overall - great place
Very clean, new-feeling log cabin. Very much open concept so don't expect any private bedrooms (two beds in the main floor, two upstairs), but worked well for our family of 4, could have slept many more. Great kitchen and great views of Mt Alice which was the highlight. So much to offer in this area near Seward - check out the beaches near this VRBO, the kids have a wonderful time finding and skipping rocks and seeing the ships go by. Would stay again.
The cabin was lovely and the kitchen was well stocked.
Awesome property on the river
Overall very nice. Plenty of room for boats and trailers. The only thing that needs improvement is the shower.
Nice house, but for the price, would be nice to be able to shower. Not enough hot water for bath, let alone multiple baths.
We loved our rustic log cabin in the woods!
My family and I had a nice stay at this cabin. The bathroom situation is awkward without a true shower. Great location. Owner was nice and prompt with responding.
Loved the feel in this cabin. Great amount of space for family to sleep. Loved the Alaskan feel and proximity to fishing.
Cute property and close to everything we wanted to explore around Seward. Even had mama and baby moose wander through the yard one day.
This is a wonderful cabin nestled in the woods with a path to a river beach! Really the Alaska spirit. Easy access by car to Seward which has so much to offer. We did a day boat sightseeing with glacier kayaking with Sunny Cove Kayaking who are really good (small groups but NO flexibility in date change). Just be ware that the loft area (beautiful view to mountain) is accessed by a “ladder”, meaning the steps are very short and probably not appropriate for folks with mobility issues), we just took the steps slowly and it was ok. We would definitely stay at this cabin again and 5 night seemed too short! The owner and manager are responsive to communication and the process was smooth. Highly recommended. You won’t be sorry!
This is a beautiful cabin in the woods! It was well stocked with everything we needed and more in the kitchen, with thoughtful details like kitchen necessities (oil, salt, pepper, spices, coffee) and basic home goods (laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and soap) provided. The owner was very kind and considerate during our stay when needing to access the exterior of the property. He went above and beyond to make our stay special, which was much appreciated.
We enjoyed our 3 nights here very much! Felt like we were in the remote back woods, but in reality weren't far from downtown Seward. The cabin has everything you would need and we wish we could have stayed longer. If we are ever in seward again, we'll definitely be back! If you are sensitive to light at night, bring a sleeping masks
We stayed at the cabin and spent the days kayaking and hiking. The house is lovely with a great location, and Al though the shower configuration is a little awkward, all the other elements of the home were great and we would choose it again.
Too many superlatives to list! Would love to come back and will not hesitate to recommend. Thank you. Thank you.
Beautiful cabin. Well equipped and comfortable. Great location and hosts were very responsive.
This place was great. WiFi seemed to be spotty and replies from owner were delayed, but I'd rent again.
This property was exactly what we were looking for and it was in a great location. Perfect for our kids and for our family. Beautiful walks to the river and very close to the Seward harbor for our fishing trip. Thanks so much for making our trip a great memory,
Family of four all enjoyed our 3-night stay in the cabin. Cabin had everything we needed and Bruce was a great host. Would stay here again on next trip!
