THINGS TO DO DURING THE DAY.....

Bird watchers will love this area as we have many different bird species on the farm including the famous Splendid Wrens, whistlers, robins, thornbills, spinebills, fantails and also a large group of red and white Tail Black Cockatoos.

There are fantastic walking and riding tracks everywhere in the forest close to us. If you are keen you can ride to the Arklow Trails north of Collie or south to the newly upgraded Wellington Dam trail network.

We have created three walking trails from the farm. They are well sign posted and include the historic spur line to the old mill.

You can walk to the historic Worsley Church St Davids to check out the history of the founding fathers of the Worsley region. Water skiing is permitted on nearby Stockton lake. You can kayak on Wellington dam and enjoy a coffee at the Wellington dam Kiosk (licensed). The new dam mural is fantastic and is a sight to behold. Electric bikes avail to hire at the dam (Adventure Connections). Our neighbor runs a tour/transfer company (Forest Explorers) - you can join for a shared tour of wildflowers, or private vineyard tour or create your own itinerary.

We are just a 20 minute drive from the Ferguson valley through Honeymoon Pool wall and about the same from Harvey and 10-15 mins to Collie. All areas have interesting things to do on your break. For reference, The Outcamp is on the Mundabiddi map 3b on the Dwellingup leg, approx 5 kms past the Collie loop turnoff. (Worsley Back Road - Gastaldo Road intersection closest corner)

Walk down to Dodge dam at dusk and relax with a glass of wine. Watch the horses. cattle and sheep graze in the paddocks.
Children can help collect the eggs and when possible, have a brush of my pony if I’m not busy. There are goats and lambs in season as well.

Our hosts were such a lovely couple. Extremely accommodating with their time, happy to have a chat, share a laugh and told us about the history of the area, listed places to visit etc.My friend and I read and reread the description for the property before booking, the comments and the very generous pricing drew us in as did the photos of the place. We were more than pleasantly surprised with this accommodation when we arrived. Yes it’s basic but extremely clean and comfortable with all the amenities required for a comfortable few days away. The shower was hot, instant hot water, a decent sized bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and a hot plate. We didn’t use it but there’s even a Nespresso pod coffee machine. The mattresses on the bunks were so comfortable, we had three very cozy nights sleep. The location of the farm is perfect for a ten minute drive into Collie, a slightly longer drive into the stunning Wellington National Park where we did a couple of hikes. The walk from the farm to St David’s church was delightful.Crystal Valley farm itself is delightful with a range of farm animals to visit and have a chat with. The weather was perfect. We went middle of November, the days were warm and the nights were cold but we dressed accordingly and loved every minute. We hope Dale will have us back, Crystal Valley Farm will definitely be on our list of top places to stay in the future. Thanks for providing such an amazing venue and for your kindness.

There was no bedding. The note that states to provide your own bedding was basically none existent. Buried deep in small text. We ended up sleeping under towels, barely aleeping and leaving early. One of my guys left early as soon as he saw the property. There were no photos of the actual property that we were staying. No photos of bedrooms or bathroom so we had no idea what we were getting into. We had to book something as our job was booked late. We assumed, as is normal practice, eapecially with a price tag like that, that bedding would be peovided, not hidden in small text. With this and no photos of bedrooms how are we assumed thered be bedding. How do we know what were booking? How can this property have high ratings? This needs to be rectified.

Outstanding! Very cosy with everything necessary for a relaxed weekend in nature. The lady even contacted us before we left to pre warn us of an expected cold spell. Everything was clean, attractive and « oh my goodness » views in every direction. Friendly dogs, horses, chooks, sheep in the paddocks with frolicking lambs and tasty fresh mandarins. Location is ideal for people driving, riding or hiking in and close to historic church site, Wellington Dam, lakes, bike trails. Suitable for single Pringles, couples or families. Loved it.

Description, lacked important details. Eg. Bunk beds were very small. Could not fit average size adult. Mattresses old and in poor condition. ...power supply was basic and unsafe. Door was not lockable. No heating or cooling. It was very cold while we were there. Host was abrupt on arrival. Price was too high for this accommodation.

Dale and Ken couldn't have done more to make our family feel welcome. Their welcoming generosity and their patience with the kids especially was like no other. The kids were delighted to be able to join in a little with Dale's activities and now want to be farmers themselves. Being at your farm in particular, Dale and Ken, made our bush get away into an unforgettable farm experience that we certainly didn't expect. Thank you.
