Creekside Hideout

I wish it was more handicap accessible.

It was quiet and secluded but also close by shopping, hiking, ect.

Awesome private and quiet place for a grown man that knows how to keep a wood stove going and take care of his family!

Everything was great. Excellent spot near the river but also close to West Jefferson.

Location was peaceful across from stream. You probably need a 4 wheel drive to access in poor weather. Host was accessible. Setup would be challenging if handicapped. Bathroom and hallway.very narrow. Kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed location.

Our second visit. Great as always. Wish it was ours. We’ll be back soon

Nice cabin. Few very tight spaces for someone with a walker. Few of the floors were uneven meaning you had to step up or down. Very cool inside the cabin. We had to get help from Bob to start the minisplit. But had a nice relaxing time.

If you like isolated and quiet yet only minutes from West Jefferson this fits the bill. Small rustic cabin, tight spaces inside but very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Really enjoyed the fire pit by the creek. Bob, the owner, is local and was very friendly and responsive.

Kitchen well stocked everything we needed. Check in was easy . One word of caution have code BEFORE you get to house no phone or Internet outside house . Kitchen does have a tripping hazard but put rubber mat on lip into kitchen and that fixed it.At home heat index was over 100 so being at hideaway was heaven on Earth. Lovely location very close to Glendale Springs and the little cafe, river perfect spot for a picnic. Everything was so comfortable. A touch of Fall cleaning is needed. Thank you

Great hidden property. Rustic. In the woods. Lovely stream. Nice property. Everything you need is there. Go out of the driveway and cross the road the the New River access to fish and swim. 10 minutes to West Jefferson for coffee or a meal. Great time!

The property manager was very nice and easy to get a hold of. The location of the property was in a great quiet and secluded location.Unfortunately the home needs a deep cleaning inside to get rid of all the cobb webs and dust. The outside landscaping was not maintained which attracted a lot of insects and spiders. The amenities were not ready for guest. They were dirty and the jacuzzi area was cluttered up along with limiting the access to any of the outside games. The cabin inside is very cluttered as well making it challenging to moving around without bumping into the things. Also the bathroom needs to be updated the bathtub and faucet needs to be updated. When someone sits on the toilet you half to sit at an angle because there is no leg room because of the bathtub making it very uncomfortable. Once all of these issues are resolved then I can say it would be the perfect cabin get away.

Cute cozy mountain cabin surrounded by nature---remote yet close to town. Small , but very functional . Has a warm and inviting decor. Lots of mountain and rustic touches. Well stocked kitchen and great deck for hanging out in nature. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would like to rent this property again in the future. Our fur babies liked it too!!!

2nd year at this beautiful property. The weather is great. Lots of hiking and shopping in downtown West Jefferson. Bob is quick to answer questions.

My husband and I have been visiting this cabin for the past few years. We enjoy the coziness and all the upgrades that have been made! We’ll be back!

It has an easy access to the state river park entrance. With the creek next to it, it was soothing and relaxing.

Cute and clean cabin - only a few minutes from downtown West Jefferson. Quiet, secluded, peaceful! Really enjoyed the deck and yard and all of the outdoor furniture, gas firepit table, and outside games.
