Cozy, private cabin on lake with pontoon and 38 acres

Great location, the pontoon is a big plus. Cabin has everything you need and more. Jared and Kari are wonderful hosts.

This charming log cabin is nicely furnished and decorated and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Appreciated the privacy. A sweet lake with a good fishery. Friendly, attentive and gracious hosts. Enjoyed our stay :).

This was our second year at Wascottage cabin. We absolutely love it! We searched for quite a while to find a cabin that could accommodate our family that met all our needs AND a pontoon boat that our entire family could use for after dinner rides and fishing! I can't say enough about this place and all it has to offer!

The cabin and property were well maintained, clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in August. The hosts were excellent communicators and very welcoming and accommodating. We fished, canoed and kayaked on the lake as well as walked the trails on the property every day. We saw a lot of wildlife on the property and around the area during our stay. We recommend this relaxing private getaway for a small family. A couple things to be aware of...The fan/blower for the AC is a little loud, we turned it off every night. There is one private bedroom, and one open loft. The foosball table & futon pictured are in the same room as the utilities. The lake was low the year we were there, and the beach was shallow and mucky, so not good for swimming in our opinion. The fishing was great.

Very comfortable, clean cabin with all of the amenities on a quiet lake. We really enjoyed fishing from the pontoon and having smores at the firepit in the evenings. Nice places to visit within an hour's drive, like Duluth and Hayward.

A perfect property for a family fun summer vacation. The hosts have literally thought of and delivered every little detail possible to make this cabin a perfect option for anyone. From fishing, to swimming, to waterfall exploring, a visit to Duluth or Hayward, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the firepit, to hiking on property trails, or simply cracking a cold one and sitting back to take in the gorgeous view of the lake and the calling of the loons. Book this place, you wont be disappointed. It is simple to say we WILL be back for sure!

Cozy Cabin with everything you need.

This was our fifth stay at this cabin and already planning on the next! It’s so quiet and so much nature around. The hosts were amazing and offered things to do in the area. Lots of good places to eat and everyone is so friendly

Great place to relax and get away for the week. Communication with the hosts was great and the cabin was well stocked. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to unplug and make memories.

Highly recommend. Listing is spot on plus its above what is stated.. attentiin to extra details and amenities all thru cabin.. everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable beds cozy atmosphere. Great views. Very private yet 5 min drive to get to bars resteraunts gas bait supplies..Pontoon Is a super great feature to have included.. although our 5 days weather was awful..we did get out and catch a nice bass and pike.. we woukd a been out everyday if weather allowed .lake is perfect size and quiet .enjoy no public access.. Kari and Jared Were so helpful if we had any questions.. very easy to check in and out.. Thank you again for sharing your large acerage of trails and wildlife with us.!!!!!

The cabin was cozy & came with all the amenities you could think of. On the property we saw all sorts of birds (bluejays, eagles, hawks, ducks, swans, woodpeckers, turkeys & more) & lots of deer along with either beavers or otters(we couldn't quite tell)! The trails on the property were great as well as the cabin proximity to waterfalls in Wisconsin for hiking & exploring. We chose to go see Copper Falls which was only 1.5 hours away, then we drove up to see Lake Superior too! At night we sat by a fire and enjoyed the sounds of different night birds chatting with eachother as well as gazed at the stars and saw a shooting star as well as several satelites. There are 2 grocery stores that are only about a 20 min drive from the cabin, which was very convenient. This was a perfect vacation for us & can't wait to come back.

We had an amazing stay. Had a great view of the northern lights one night. The recent improvements on the cabin made it much more comfortable and safe for our family. We really appreciate it. Can’t wait for our next trip.

The hosts were amazing. Attentive but not intrusive. This was the most private place we have ever stayed at. The view from the cabin was expansive and beautiful. Having access to the watercrafts was great. The pontoon boat was perfect for fishing, and the Northern, Bass, and Bluegills were biting. The `gills` acted like they hadn't eaten all summer. The property was exceptionally well maintained, inside and out. And the wildlife...!!

Great for fishing and ATV trails

This place is amazing! It literally has everything you need minus your own clothing! I wanted a place to take my family for relaxation, fishing and family time. Without a boat, it's hard to do the one thing I love to do, fish! The pontoon provided with the cabin is perfect for a family, especially with little ones. The lake is quiet without a lot of people buzzing around on jet skis or motor boats. I was able to teach my grandkids (2yr & 5yr) how to fish. Plenty of pan fish for them to catch. Caught a couple of smaller pike and searched for the bigger guys, but no luck there. The wildlife is amazing and with the cabin located off the beaten path, you get a lot of it. I've already asked to book again for next year!

beautifully maintained and appointed property. Private and serene. We had a great time. Walk to the lake and the boats, 30 acres with paths right outside the door. We really didn't have to travel anywhere to hike, fish, boat and bird watch. A relaxing vacation.

This was our fourth year staying here and already have plans of staying again in the future. The updates to the cabin are a nice touch.

This is my 4th time renting the cabin and each time i have enjoyed the comforts and quietness and relaxation level this cabin brings. I will look forward to another wonderful stay. Thanks Kari & Jared ? Mike C

This is our 2nd stay at this cabin, and just like the 1st time, it was a wonderful experience. There is so much to do, not just within the cabin, from games to t.v, but on and off the property as well, i.e. boating, water activities, exploring the woods, local eat. My family looks forward to coming back!

Very secluded and private. The cabin is fully supplied, with multiple sleeping areas. Loved the deck. With the cabin came the use of a pontoon, kayak, canoe and paddle boat. Abundant wildlife. I taught my grandson to fish! And the loons calling on the lake were mesmerizing.

Place was cleaner/nicer than expected (some cabins feel quite old). Nice views over the lake and use of the boat was a cool bonus. Saw a bear the first night!
