Immaculate log cabin on a spacious lot with firepit and BBQ grill, well equipped kitchen, and beautiful stone fireplace. It was super comfortable for our party of three. We enjoyed peaceful surroundings and fall colors as well as evening visits from the resident deer & wild turkeys. Loved everything about it & would recommend staying here to anyone traveling to this area.

So cozy and quiet! Beech Hill Log Cabin had everything we needed - plus deer and turkeys in the yard! We really enjoyed having our coffee in front of the gas fireplace every morning and being able to leave the windows open at night and hear nothing but crickets. The drive to get to various areas of Acadia was not bad and worth it to get away from the crowds in Bar Harbor. Highly recommend.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Beautiful location, great hosts, super clean and comfortable. Perfect spot for visiting Mt. Desert Island. On the quiet side, just up the big hill from Southwest Harbor. Acadia and Bar Harbor a short drive. Great hiking and biking, never too far from a lobster roll.

The cabin has such a welcoming atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. The day we arrived the deer and turkeys came to greet us. The field of lupine were in full bloom and we enjoyed watching the chipmunks play in the mornings before we left for busy days exploring nearby Bar Habor, Acadia National Park and Ellsworth.

What a great log cabin and great location to Acadia. It has all the comforts of home. It is well stocked with silverware, cookware, bakeware, glasses, coffee cups, plates, towels etc. Upon arrival it was very clean and ready for my dog and I to enjoy it. We hiked several Mtn's and walked the other attractions from west to the far eastern Winter Harbor in Acadia. All easily reachable. When we returned we generally relaxed and cooked on the outdoor grille. The Queen bed was firm, just the way I like it. It couldn't have been better for us. My dog was very comfortable as well. The hosts, Dave and Meg do a wonderful job accommodating their guests. We hope to return in the future.

This home was exactly as described. Quiet, beautiful, and impeccably clean. Both my partner and I are sensitive to pet dander and were a little concerned that pets were welcome at this location, but neither of us had any kind of reaction. This place was spotless. As far as location, it was about a 20minute drive from Bar Harbor downtown, which isnt too bad and came with the added benefit of seeing wild turkeys, deer, and ravens in the morning and being closer to Acadia National Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rebook again if we're planning a trip to the area.

We have been to Acadia a few times but were unprepared for how crowded it was, even after Labor Day. It made us that much more grateful for the peace and quiet at this cabin. Everything was as advertised and more!aand quiet

The cabin is exactly as pictured. It’s immaculate and comfortable. We could sit outside and watch deer and wild turkeys walk right past us. It is just down the road from several Acadia hiking trails. We loved our stay there. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We are very familiar with the island, having vacationed here for 30+ years. We knew the location of the cabin and love the ‘quiet side’ and what it offers. Tom turkeys greeted us upon arrival and every day for the week. The deer family of 7 were grazing on the property daily and the restfulness of the Quiet was just what we were seeking. Loved everything about the cabin, the hosts were wonderful, and, the fact it was dog friendly made us more content. Definitely THE place to base MDI activity; highly recommend!!
