The Creekside Cabin is perfect! It was exactly as described and a perfect place for our getaway to the mountains. Check in was easy, the cabin was clean and had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. Sherry and Rick were very helpful with all of our questions and we appreciated the open communication. Thanks to them for a wonderful stay and the special treats! Highly recommend the Creekside Cabin!!

This cabin is gorgeous and brilliantly decorated to match the mountain cabin aesthetic! There are fresh cookies and coffee available when you arrive. The cabin is MUCH bigger than I realized looking at the pictures! It is equipped with every thing you could possibly need, just bring your clothes and food if you decide to eat in. My 12 year old daughter definitely enjoyed being in the loft and had an amazing time at the creek! There are plenty of board games to keep you busy while you’re inside the cabin and and a good variety of DVDs. The WiFi works great, there are two different grills to choose from, one charcoal and one gas, grilling utensils are included! The fire pit is also a nice touch, with a bundle of firewood provided and lighters, matches and even a prepared s’mores kit! I’m sure there’s even more that I’ve forgotten to mention, but it was a great experience a wonderful cabin, and the hosts are easy to get ahold of if you need anything! Will definitely book again!

The host were great! The cabin was very clean and everything was in great condition. They had cookies waiting for us and everything ready for us to use the fire pit and make s’mores. It is in a great location that allowed us to explore many sites in just 2 days. We would love to stay again!

Our stay was great! The cabin is so comfortable and made me feel right at home. I love the little things like nightlights, extra blankets in the living room and live plants, this cabin was full of things that made it homey. And the kitchen was so well-stocked! The beds were super-comfortable for all of us. The hosts were very friendly and communicative, even sharing a local gem of a place they enjoyed - I wish we had been able to make it there! The cabin is clean and in a terrific location. I would love to come back and stay over the summer or fall when we can enjoy the deck and firepit. And as many others have commented – the cookies were amazing! Thanks for keeping such a wonderful place for people to stay in as a home away from home, even for a short time.

The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. We couldn’t have asked for better communication and understanding in a family matter that required us to reschedule our stay. Prior to arrival , the host was in contact to let us know the drive had been cleared of snow and salted. And upon arrival, we were greeted by a warm and cozy cabin complete with homemade cookies!

This is the only rental in the state that we have revisited and we hope to do so again. It’s a perfect location for a quick getaway- Right in Boone, near a really nice grocery store, and a feeling of isolation on an amazing stream with so many trees. My husband and son love fishing for trout while my daughter and I sit and read to the sound of the water. Sherry and Rick are fantastic hosts! Can’t wait to go back!

We found the perfect place to stay for a family wedding weekend! It was less than 5 minutes from the venue - The Mill at Rock Creek, which is beautiful! And about 10 minutes to Boone and everything you need or want with lots of great restaurants to choose from. In fact, Sherry provided wonderful google docs that have tons of info and recs! I just wish we could have stayed longer. For our small group of 3 adults - it was perfect. We loved the creek side fire pit and the porch looking over the creek out back for cocktails and coffee. Well appointed and so cute! We will be back!

We had 4 adults and 2 small children with our group and this cabin was a great place to stay during our trip to NC. It was very close to downtown Boone, Tweetsie Railroad and not too far for a day trip to other areas of interest like grandfather mountain. The cabin was spacious and it was so nice that much of it was baby proofed since we were traveling with a baby and toddler. It was so peaceful hearing the creek behind the cabin and we enjoyed the property while we were there. It had all the amenities we needed to cook yummy meals and then rest our heads before another adventure. Sherry and Rick were so kind and accommodating and even brought over toys and books for the kids to use while we were there along with a pack n play. And the cookies were delicious! We would definitely stay again if visiting Boone.

We have twins who are beginning their college tours. App State was college tour #1. We wanted a cabin in the mountains that could comfortably fit 4 people. When I found this place, I thought it was perfect. When we arrived, it was exactly what we saw online. Cozy. Welcoming. Relaxing. Quiet. It was exactly what we were looking for. The hosts were awesome! They were in contact with us the whole time and were readily available if we had any questions. I mentioned that our kids were touring ASU, the host was very sweet and left two ASU bandanas for them. Plus, some yummy cookies. My kids loved ASU, so who knows, we may be spending a lot more time at this sweet cabin over the next few years.

We had a wonder but too short stay at Cozy Cabin on Howard's Creek. We were in Boone for the King of the Mountain Soccer tournament and the cabin was the perfect location, less than 10 mins to Watauga HS and the Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex. When my son wasn't on the soccer field he enjoyed fishing in the creek just steps from the cabin, while my older son had his own quiet retreat in the basement bedroom/family room to study for his AP exam. Sherry and Rick were amazing host from their homemade cookies to fishing tips. We would love to have had more time to explore and enjoy the cabin, which means we'll have to visit again.
