Taylorsville, Kentucky
Located on beautiful Brashears Creek in the heart of Bourbon Country, this loft style cedar cabin makes a great central location to visit some local distilleries and wineries. It is also a great place to stay for anyone who might be in the area for a horse show or interested in antique shopping along Shelbyville's historical Main Street. My personal favorite thing to do at the cabin is enjoy the creek. We love to canoe, kayak or even just float on a raft depending on the conditions.

It was such a peaceful stay, we stayed here a year ago, and decided to come back with our kids this time. They loved exploring the creek and playing in the big yard
The property is definitely off the beaten path which was just what we were looking for. A lot of privacy and seclusion for a great getaway weekend. Amenities were great and the inside of the cabin just felt so rustic and old timey. Really enjoyed our stay 10/10
This is a great little cabin in a perfect location. Just be careful on your journey to and from the property as the road is narrow, and there is wildlife. And just like a cabin, bring everything you may think you will need as there is nothing close. The host is gracious and easy to communicate with. We are plannimg on visiting again with more friends next year.
Great property situated between our destinations on the trail. The stream across the street was a nice bonus. Rustic cabin was perfect setting for our trip.Loved the old leg tub and shower! The cabin is dark with not the best lighting. Prepping food on the kitchen countertop required strategic angles not to cast a shadow. Grill and hot tub are well maintained. The small truffle/trundle bed upstairs is not adequate for an adult, maybe a small child. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
. Very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed it.
Cabin was exactly as described. Loved the rural location as it allowed us to escape our daily grind. Host was top notch. We enjoyed the creek, hit the bourbon trail, and even met a few of the neighbors. Highly recommend.
We had such a wonderful stay at The Ripple Inn. Gwen was the most gracious host and we will 100% be returning for another visit.
Last 2 years we’ve stayed for a few days and has been great experience both times. Will try to continue to be back yearly!
Wonderful place to get away and relax
Very clean, especially the hot tub. Linens and towels were lovely. Lighting is a little dim. Bring tweezers; we both got splinters.
Very lovely cabin out in the countryside of KY. Great for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Was very nice to relax and unwind for a few days.
This place was fabulous! It was perfect for our needs. It had all the creature comforts needed for a relaxing “disconnected from everything” weekend. We spent most of the weekend out at the fire pit and walking the creek. If you are looking for time outdoors and a way to enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place.
Very nice cabin. Could have been cleaner lots of weird smells in the linens and lots of cob webs everywhere. But it was very comfortable and quiet. I usually do not get maid duties given to me at 275 bucks a night after I have checked in. Ha but we left in a hurry and I did not finish all off my chores . There really was a weird fabreeze cover up kind of smell on the upstairs bed sheets and they would not stay on the bed . Overall tho this was a great place to enjoy peace and quiet
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the Kentucky countryside! It was absolutely perfect for our family of three and we enjoyed every minute! It lies on a huge parcel of land with peaceful views in all directions. It stayed cool when we needed it cool and warm inside when we needed it warm. Shower, washer/dryer, TV, hot tub all worked great! We cooked a couple of memorable meals in the kitchen and had some great family time outside and by the creek. We heard owls at night! Thank you, Gwen for sharing your cabin with us and being so easy to work with. We hope to make this an annual trip!
Great location for visiting all of the distilleries! We visited around 8 and went downtown Louisville for a day and everything we wanted to do was in a nice driving distance. The cabin was itself was great, had everything we needed, it was private and quiet, we enjoyed the creek and starting a fire one night! We’ll be back to stay here if we make our way back to Kentucky!
Great place to stay for nature!
It was nice and quiet made it easy to relax. The kids had a great time playing in the river, and sitting by the fire.
We celebrated my hubby’s 60th birthday by staying at this amazing property and hitting the bourbon trail❤️ We couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest while having coffee and get to watch a mommy bird feed her young and then see the take flight their first time?. Then sitting in the rockers overlooking the field in the back seeing the deer feed. The quaintness of the home was perfect and the location just right to travel day trips! Can’t wait to come back! Pam & Ralph
I would like to say that our stay was very relaxing and peaceful. The property was well kept, clean and was not misrepresented in any way. I look forward to staying there again.
We had a very relaxing long weekend at The Ripple Inn. The cabin was the perfect place to get away for our anniversary. We were close to several wineries and distilleries yet remote enough for some quiet relaxation. Would definitely recommend The Ripple Inn to anyone looking do do the same. Many thanks to Gwen!!!
Everything was great. I will stay here again and have recommended it directly to friends
Decided to rent this cabin with my 2 brothers so we would have a place to stay near taylorsville lake while we fished for 3 days. We were skeptical at first as you are when u rent something without seeing it. When we pulled up to the cabin, we knew we had made the right choice. This place was amazing. Took us back in time and whe made such memories there that we will never forget. Would like to come back sometime this year with my wife to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. It's just a great place.
The location was gorgeous, the cabin was everything we needed, and the hot tub was nice and clean. Would definitely stay again.
