Cozy Black Hills Retreat – Loft, deck, pet-friendly & peaceful mountain views!

Excellent stay everyting was exactly as listed/described. I would highly recomend staying here if you are planning to ski Terry Peak, or other winter activities as well. Probably great in the summer too!

Yes very clean, loved it. Only 1 thing the outside trash container was horribly stinky,but it was by road but it will knock your socks off with the smell. But the inside house and amenities top notch.

Clean and comfortable and good location

Cozy cabin in a quiet place on the mountain. Loved the peace and quiet!

Dirty, needs updating, freezing inside, need to do something with heating system and in general fix the place up for what is being charged for the rental. We stayed only one night and paid for three. Shame on the owner for ripping people off!! VERY disappointing and will not use Deadwood Connections ever again.

This is a very cozy and comfortable cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Cabin was clean, but there was dust in some of the harder to reach places. Window AC keeps the first floor cool, but the loft can get hot on the warmer summer days. The kitchen works well for a family of four as it has most of your needs for cooking. The deck is nice to relax on. The grass is cut so good for pets, just be sure to clean up for the next person using the cabin. The county road going into the ski resort is a little steep near the top, so in the winter time you will need a 4x4. The open pit mine behind it is active, but during our stay it you could hear it a little while sitting outside, but it wasn't bad. This cabin isn't perfect, but my family agreed that we would stay there again.

We came to trout fish in the streams and lakes. If that's your vibe, this is good spot, but you will have to drive down the mountain to the streams and towns. We enjoyed our stay.

The cabin is very cute. It had everything we needed for our stay and loved the gas fireplace as it got a little chilly. Overall we had a good stay and communication with management was good. As far as cleanliness it could’ve been better. There was a lot of dust (as you come downstairs the shelf across the way is half dusted and kitchen had lots of dust) enough that we felt like we had stuffy noses a lot, there was some remnants of food on the wall by the dishwasher and there was black mildew on the walls above the shower and above the toilet. Some walls could use some repair. Honestly overall the place is cute and everything we needed. It just needs some TLC. It was easy to get to and we had deer and turkey in the yard so that was fun.

Worked perfect for us to get out of the business of the cities but stay close enough to activities. Everyone was comfortable!

Beautiful and comfortable cabin!

Older cabin, well stocked, clean towels, appliances, dishes. Only recommendation would be to shampoo carpeting in living area. Could use a fan in bedroom. Cabin has satellite internet and cell service. It is a cozy and comfortable place - we enjoyed our stay.

Such a beautiful place. We were a little concerned at first that there wasn't a/c, and it was August. However the nights were cool and it felt good with the windows open. Our only problem was getting our motorcycles down the driveway. Overall an excellent stay.

Great little cabin and conveniently located

The property was very nice.But the on line it said it had satellite/cable and a hot tub but didn’t have either. The cabin was on a dirt road and was very dusty inside and it activated my allergies but I just took more medicine. But other than that we had a great time thank you
