Stayed Jul 27, 2022We enjoyed our stay. Nice and quiet area. We visited family and toured both state parks and had dinner at Fort Hayes which was recommended to us by the staff.

Stayed Jun 22, 2022Was so glad we did this instead of a hotel. The cabin is next to two great outdoor areas and lakes, streams and only about 30 minutes to Rushmore. We had a couple things go wrong upon checking in with the hot water heater but it was quickly resolved by the owners and we had nothing but the best experience overall.

Stayed Jun 12, 2022We stayed at this cabin for 4 nights. It was so comfortable and such a great location! The lake and playground were a hit and kept us busy when we weren't out exploring all of the local attractions.

Stayed Jun 10, 2022This was a great little cabin with a surprising amount of space! It's nicely decorated, very clean, and had everything we needed except an iron and ironing board. There's also no salt, pepper or basic spices, cooking oil, etc, so be sure to bring those items if you stay here and plan to cook. We had planned to try to cook dinner each night, but found out after day 1 that there was just so much to see and do that we were too tired to go back to the cabin and cook. With so many great restaurants options nearby, it was more convenient for us to dine out. The fridge and microwave did come in very handy though for drinks and heating up leftovers or microwave popcorn for a late snack! The water heater here was the real Rockstar, though. All four of us were able to get showers, one after the other, and nobody got stuck with a cold shower. The earliest night we were back at the cabin, we decided to go check out the walking trail/path that was just up the road, across Chapel Ln. We saw several deer, one with roughly 3 ft of me. The sounds of the quickly flowing creek over the little rapids was so relaxing and it's just a really beautiful area. We even saw a few trout hop out of the water. Overall, it was a really nice stay, and the lady at the camp/cabin office was super-sweet and helpful!
