The Tuckean Broadwater is tidal and is a estuary of the Richmond river there is boat access at right tides or public ramps 1 to 2 klm's quiet waterways , crabbing fishing , boating skiing etc kayak use is included , there's also a nice hot water garden shower ,wide open grassed fields for various activities , abundant bird life , native animals etc .spacious campsites or there is a self contained cabin , fires ok in places , pets allowed non aggressive dogs only ,, private airstrip 300 mtr's away the river is extremely scenic at times and a tad similar to Kakadu .
There is a mangrove forest that can be explored by kayaks only but it needs to be above 1.70 tide
Located just 5 klms off the M1 freeway Broadwater/Evans head exit
