Camelle’s Chestnut Lodge lived up to expectations again. Beautiful property, all up to date amenities and most amazing views. We never tire of the elk viewing and have seen them every time here. My wife and I will always recommend Chestnut Lodge to anyone desiring a comfortable and peaceful getaway.

This is our se one year renting from this company and will keep renting !!! If you want the real cabin experience, spacious, clean/ neat in close proximity to the ski area( Maggie Valley) this will be the perfect place to stay. The host is an amazing one and responds to any questions or concerns in a timely manner. Thank you!

My family and I wanted to take a long weekend and get away from life's chaos. Not only was this home in a great location, it was beautiful, CLEAN and perfect for us. We drove to Cherokee one day and to Pigeon Forge the next day. The location of the cabin allowed us to enjoy other places, not just Maggie Valley. The cabin was more than I was expecting. You can tell the owner takes pride in their cabin all the way down to small things such as the fluffy pillows, providing extra towels, wash clothes and giving your family a welcome basket. They really care about their guest and it shows. I highly recommend this cabin. My family will definitely be back.

The host was great, and the accommodations were perfect for our short ski weekend.

This cabin is absolutely amazing. Extremely clean and neat. Full attention to detail, we had everything we needed for our stay, all amenities were excellent. Appliances were top of the line. The beds are very comfortable. Decorations, beautiful. Our host Camelle is great, she’s on top of everything and promptly answers any questions and concerns you may have. Would definitely recommend

The Chestnut Cabin was beautiful and everything was in perfect order. The Holiday decorations were the icing on the cake. It was so comfortable and relaxing. We saw Elk twice in the neighborhood, once there were 12 of them . It was another bonus. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the area. We posted pictures on Facebook and all our friends were jealous of our Christmas vacation. See you next time.

This was our third stay at Chestnut Lodge. It is a beautiful, comfortable, relaxing home away from home. Everything is furnished, including snacks and Keurig pods. The house is immaculate and has all the necessary electronics. There's even an obliging herd of elk--10 that wander the area. We need and find peace and tranquility each time we visit; I hope we can keep returning.

Everything was absolutely beautiful. After the year we have had so far losing our son in law, this place was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the quietness and beautiful setting. We’ve traveled to the Smokies for many years and only recently tried the Maggie Valley area. Chestnut Lodge is probably one of the best cabin rentals we’ve stayed at. All the furniture was updated and comfy. Since it was a little chilly we really liked using the gas fireplace. Fall colors were still beautiful and we watched the elk grazing in a nearby field. We can’t wait to return.

We've been coming to Maggie Valley for several years and usually stay in local motels. We opted to stay in a cabin this time and Camelle offered the perfect choice. So clean and the bed was extremely comfortable Loved the location! Beautiful views and even got to see elk grazing in the pasture across the street. We will definitely use Camelle for our next trip!

Chestnut Lodge is a wonderful place to stay! It is immaculate! Walking in the place you can feel the cleanliness. We have been coming to the mountains for the past five years always renting a cabin for 4-5 days, and this is by far the cleanest one we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful, roomy and clean! Chestnut Lodge was truly wonderful. The majestic views are breathtaking. The Lodge is beautifully furnished and equipped with every amenity. We especially enjoyed rocking our cares away on the porch. We had a great stay at this home. Everything was as described in the listing and met our needs perfectly. The location is very convenient. The owner was very responsive and helpful. And as we left on our last day, two large male elks were in the street, clashing their racks. Wow!

Cabin was beautiful and the elk were a bonus. We saw one in the field as soon as we walked through the door. Cabin is very clean and well stocked with everything you need. Camelle went above and beyond to make sure our trip was perfect. Thanks for everything.

This was our 2nd time to stay at Chestnut Lodge and again, it did not disappoint. The cabin is immaculate, beds are comfortable, and it is stocked with all necessary items for an incredible visit. Elk viewing is amazing and the panoramic scenery is beautiful. Plan to come again at earliest opportunity.

This beautiful cabin was exactly as described. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms spacious, and the living area comfortable. The beautiful, massive Elks roaming around was a real treat. The location was walking distance to the main street, which had plenty of restaurants and shops to visit. The Chestnut Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains and close enough to many other attractions. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back.

Hello Camelle, May we say, this is the 4th time we've stayed in one of your cabins, the 1st in Maggie Valley. What a pleasure it was for us to stay in Chestnut Lodge. We've come a long way from Ireland (the Emerald Isle), but everytime we come to this part of the United States, Deirdre, Anne and I are blown away. We've had restful evenings under the Southern Skies, such a great part of your country. We now move onto our next leg of our US journey, I.E. Nasville, but Chestnut Lodge and your hospitality will not be forgotten. Be under no illusion, we will be back. Hopefully soon. Thank you again. Absolutely 100% perfect!! Beautiful house, everything was clean, in its place and very comfortable atmosphere.. Beautiful little community, everyone is friendly.. The Elk walking through is another bonus!!

Chestnut Lodge was fabulous! It is in a great location. It is easy to access in the summer and the winter. We saw elk everyday coming down from the mountain to graze in the fields near the cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful and so clean! We are looking forward to visiting again!

Beautiful place, nice neighbors and close to the town. Weather worked out great. Neighborhood was beautiful and saw elk 3 times in the evenings. Would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting to spend time in the mountains. You helped make our 18th wedding anniversary perfect.👍

We had a wonderful vacation at Chestnut Lodge. Waking up each morning to Elk in the yard as such a cool experience. Close to all attractions. Make sure you ride the train in Bryson City. It was such a treat!

So fortunate to have a cabin that I love to return to multiple time per year to see the Elk. The setting is beautiful and the experience is just perfect each time. Can not wait to return.

Chestnut Lodge is a beautiful cabin in Maggie Valley with stunning views of the mountains. We saw a number of elk which was an added treat. The cabin was spotless with every amenity you could imagine. The cabin was decorated beautifully and truly felt like a home away from home. My husband was recovering from a hospital stay and this respite was just what the doctor ordered. Camelle is a wonderful hostess, making sure all needs are met! I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a vacation in the mountains!

We've stayed in Maggie Valley at least a dozen times and this place was our favorite!! EVERYTHING was clean and the decor was so welcoming. The kitchen is fully stocked and the TV actually had cable or satellite which we appreciated. We especially enjoyed the rocking chairs on the deck as we watched the cows (and some elk) in the pasture as well as the mountain views all around. Thank you Camelle (and Julie)! We will definitely be back in the near future.

Such a beautiful cabin and the views were amazing. Could not get enough of the quiet peaceful views of the Elk. Close to everything. The hiking was amazing as well as Waynesville and the Train Ride in Bryson City. I will be back very soon!

After TKA (Total Knee Replacement) surgery, my husband I, along with our adult son, traveled from FL to recuperate relax for 8 days . Our adult granddaughter (Greenville) came for the weekend to do arts/crafts, our daughter (Asheville) came for a few hours, so I was in heaven! Chestnut Lodge cabin is so welcoming therapeutic! Beautiful, clean, comfortable spacious safe. The small community boasts the same plus has the best of both worlds...mountain meadow views; inhabitants elk cows, bunnies, birds. Lots of pleasantries both indoors and out. Hated to leave. Camelle couldn't be any more accommodating. She is an excellent hostess.

The property is exactly as described and it's designed for comfort and relaxation. Outside temp felt like single digits when we arrived but we stayed toasty in the house. The strategically placed ottoman in the loft provided lots of awesome scenic views. I will definitely plan a return trip.

Thank you so much for sharing your place with us Camelle! Your cabin was just as it looked online and even better. My whole family felt right at home immediately. We loved seeing the elk in the neighborhood and being so close to so many restaurants and attractions. We enjoyed Joey’s Pancake House, Bearwaters Brewery and Brickhouse Burgers & Pizza. We also met up with friends to go snow tubing at Tube World and everything was super close.

Wow is all I can say about this beautiful property. Such a quiet retreat and in a very convenient place. The daily visits from the Elk were such a treat. The views of the mountains is wonderful. Loved this cabin and have already booked again. Thank you so much Camelle for the kind hospitality.

She followed up with us the next day asking if anything was needed which we really appreciated. The cabin included extra toiletries, dish soap, etc. Overall, everything was great. Chestnut Lodge is a place to experience the magnificence of God’s creation. A view like no other that we have seen. Mountains in every direction plus views of elk and other wildlife. Snowfall the first night that we were here. The porches have rockers so this allows for a great outdoor experience. The cabin is equipped with everything needed for your stay. The large windows offer beautiful views from almost every room. The home was decorated beautifully for Christmas and was very clean and comfortable. Chestnut is truly a place that you will not want to leave. We actually stayed one extra night. Our host Camelle was spot on with every detail and request.

We have found our FOREVER place. The cabin was so wonderful. Everything was so clean and looked like new. The views from the front porch were amazing not to mention all the Elk that came to visit each day. Very quiet and close to many attractions. Lots of wonderful places to eat and shop. We have made our reservation for next year. We love this place. Camelle was so thoughtful in every way. I give it 10 stars if I could!

Here we are again for the 5th stay. This is by far my favorite cabin. I would buy this cabin if Camelle would sell. Attention to detail and everything we could ever ask for. We have already booked for the winter season and in June of next year. Love this cabin!

Chestnut Lodge was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Everything you need for perfect vacation is here. From this location we ate and made shopping trips in Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Cherokee, and Bryson City where we rode first class on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. The elk viewings are great plus.

We stayed for an extended weekend and were blown away with the view, home and services. Has easy access to all surrounding points of view and dining experiences. Though this review really doesn't do the property justice, a stay here will make your vacation well worth it!

We came in the cabin and were so excited at how beautiful it was. There was a sweet welcome gift and we sat on the porch and saw several elk. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to do laundry before we left. We met our neighbors and enjoyed chatting with them.

Excellent property, well stocked and maintained. 5 or 6 Elk walking right past the cabin the first evening. Great location in Crockets Meadow with great views. Close to anywhere you want to go.

Chestnut Lodge was impeccable! From the moment we walked through the front door, we knew we were in for an outstanding weekend! The views from the porch morning, noon and night were awesome! We saw beautiful color! The lodge did not disappoint. Every room was very clean and the decor was fantastic. Camelle was a great host and provided us with everything we needed to make our stay memorable. We even got a rare treat to see two elk on our last night! Y'all....when I say this is the absolute perfect rental, I mean it. From the first communication to the last, everything was just above any other experience. The wrap around porch with rockers was the perfect beginning and ending to our day. Elk roam freely in the neighborhood and we saw them every day we were there. Each and every amenity was top notch and very thoughtful. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need, while the complimentary toiletries were wonderful The entire cabin is decorated for the season and is so cozy. We were fortunate to be able to see the Northern Lights while there and they were breathtaking. Restaurants and shops are nearby and convenient. All in all, 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a cabin near Maggie Valley. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed in this beautiful cabin for our anniversary trip. The cabin was perfect and so was Camelle. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to Hurricane Helene but Camelle reached out to us to make sure all was well as soon as she was able. Haywood county was devasted and Our hearts go out to all who were affected. We will definitely return again to be able to enjoy this beautiful community.

Beautiful house & property. House was perfect for our group of 6 adults. Enjoyed drinking coffee each morning on the porch and watching the sunrise over the Mountains, also seeing the elk, cows, rabbit's and hearing the roosters crow
