Spacious, comfortable cabin with excellent AC, comfortable beds, large TV and full kitchen. Our cabin was on the water with an easy access to the crystal , clear blue water. Adorable little chickens are walking around the property. Each unit has a hummingbird and regular bird feeder. We had an excellent grill, picnic table and comfortable rocking chairs out back. So close to Garner State park. Groceries and water supplies are minutes away. We fell in love with our property manager, Veronica. She was completely accommodating. We will defiantly be back!
I often rent little cabins along the Frio & have a running list of places to stay. This is the best one I have found so far & I will definitely be back! Veronica was so helpful & is clearly on top of her game! Back when I used to help manage my own family’s rental homes, I was always shocked to find that many other places I visited did not seem to go the extra mile the way we worked hard to do. Veronica has left no stone unturned & it was a welcome departure from the usual, ubiquitous chintzy fixtures & dishes. You do need to bring your own linens, but you will be rewarded with well-cared for, sweet vintage cabins on a gorgeous piece of property directly on the Frio for your effort. Each cabin was appointed with its own outdoor area, complete with picnic table, smoker, rocking chairs & bird feeders (including hummingbirds)! The beds are comfy (memory foam!), the bedside table was sturdy, there were plenty of charging docks/ outlets, the decor was fun & we even got to enjoy a thunderstorm under the tin roof! Thank you so much for making our stay 100% carefree & cozy!
Had a relaxing Easter with the family.
The.cabin was super clean and in a great location. Down the street from Garner State Park and not far from Lost Maples park (we hiked both). Leakey is close as well and has a grocery store and plenty of restaurants and shopping. The river is directly behind the cabins with super easy access. We'll definitely be back.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. We loved the front porch and the humming birds! The short walk to the water was awesome. It was unseasonably cold and rainy but we still enjoyed our stay and put the firepit to use. Already planning our next stay!
The location is really nice. Our cabin was T-2 (Terrace); I'd say the best small/single one at that location. Fire pit directly out the back. A very short walk and you're on an overlook of the Rio Frio, beautiful river. Head down the path off to the right, and you'll get water access. Now, getting on the water itself isn't exactly cake with kayaks or SUPs, but it is doable and worth it. Back to the cabin, it has everything you need. Happy to know in advance about the smart TV, I brought my HDD for evening movies. The hot water is sufficient for 2, unless someone takes a really long hot shower LOL. AC/heater is a bit loud, but does the job. Veronica was awesome, happy to help, and listed off places around town to check out.
The cabin was awesome! The stay was amazing!! Great location, close to the park, and there is a store close by ! Great access to the river ! We had so much fun! You can not find better management, who is so attentive! They made sure we had everything we needed! We will be back for a visit! Thank guys, y’all are the best !!
