Charming 4-bedroom WATERFRONT, WiFi, gentle slope from cabin to Lake Jocassee.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here. The cabin was very clean and the views were gorgeous. We will be back!

The view and cabin were perfect for our family. The dock worked well with our 17' boat.

This place is an oasis. It is so quiet and has easy access to the lake. The host are easy to reach and super helpful! We will definitely be back.

Great place and great time

I’ll start with the pros… Lake Jocassee is stunning!! The views from this house are unbeatable!!! There were many cons, however, which left me disappointed. First, the AC does not work properly. The interior of the house is around 8 to 10 degrees cooler than the exterior. The lowest it would get is 74, but during the afternoon it heated up to over 80. When we complained about this, she had someone come out and install window units in the bedrooms. This helped with sleeping but did nothing for the common areas ( living, dining and kitchen). We had to drive an hour away to buy a bunch of fans to make it bearable. We took these home with us so bring your own. Next, the cell and internet service is terrible. It works better outside but inside is a no go. Next, there’s only the one tv and it’s really old. The speakers are completely blown so the sound is awful. You have to mute it and put subtitles on if you want to watch anything. The water pressure was also spotty, fluctuating between no water, weak water and normal. Also, there were LOTS of bugs in the house. I’ve never left a negative review before, but people need to know what to expect when renting this house. If all you need is a crash pad, then you will be fine. My health is poor so I can only go for awhile before I need downtime. This house was terrible for downtime. Also, if you have mobility issues, this house is not for you. Lastly, watch your children and dogs closely as there steep drop offs which could be dangerous.

We had a great time on Lake Jocassee! We were able to get our boat into the water at the park and store our trailer at Jocassee outdoor center. The cabin was very nice and clean! Not a bad walk down to the dock at all, and the views are amazing! Property manager is super nice and very helpful!

Yes, the driveway is insane, but the view is worth it!! The outside deck is huge and it has high quality comfy chairs and the scenic waterfront is stunning rain or shine. You need to bring your own life vests, but they have a canoe that you can use to see 5 waterfalls off the lake!

This is a truly wonderful property on Jocassee. The cabin is rustic but has some of the best views of the lake available. It also has one of the best walks (few stairs and shallow grade) to the lake. The dock is both close and perfect for boating, swiming and kayaking. The host is also terrific. We had wonderful time in the summer of 2024 and cant wait to come back.

While it is not easy to get to, the views and seclusion more than make up for it!
