All cabins have heating and air conditioning.

Spend your days visiting historic landmarks, quaint Hills towns, or parks and lakes, then come back to your cabin to rest and relax by our large campfire site. As you sit out and enjoy the campfire, you can see the stars with no light pollution. Depending on the time of year you can hear the owls calling to one another, hear the singing of the coyotes, the bugling of the elk, or listen to the turkey as they get ready to roost. Awesome family run cabins. Very welcoming! My wife loved the wondering goats that were pretty friendly and liked neck scratches. Real relaxing place.

The attention to special details with supplying fresh eggs and other food items, like a snack basket. The campfire area with everything provided for roasting marshmallows or steaks.

This was a beautiful area, and such a cute cabin. The owners are very thoughtful with all the amenities they provide you, they also provide a binder with all types of scenic information which was so helpful. If you don’t like animals then this might not be the cabin for you. Their farm animals (goats, cats) are very social, and so friendly. We loved the whole experience.

We had a lovely time during our stay. Sarah and Al are very accommodating and friendly hosts and we were provided all the comforts of home. We also really enjoyed having the animals around and it’s a nice peaceful location that gets away from the noise and traffic of the city while being within a reasonable drive for groceries and attractions.

What a great little property. Cabin was clean and spacious with all the amenities you could ask for. Even a little welcome basket with water and snacks. Don’t forget the fresh eggs provided from the chickens on the property. Also has goats, bunnies and ducks roaming around. Would stay here again and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay in the black hills centrally located to everything there is to do and see. 10/10

We had a lovely time at Campfire Cabins. Google Maps told us we needed to do a long detour (on Edelweiss Mountain Road, which is gravel) to get there, which was fine on the way there, as it helped us learn our way around and find the hiking trail we used each day. We were glad to figure out that we could get to Rapid City a shorter way (on 44) on our way out of the Hills. Everything we needed was available at the cabin. It was a great home base for us for our stay in the Hills.
