Stanley, Idaho
This beautiful log cabin was originally built in 1939 and was lovingly remodeled to add a majestic great room looking out over the Salmon River, as well as a private bedroom, a bathroom, and two sleeping lofts. It is one of just a few cabins located in the Sawtooth National Recreational Area, which sports world-famous fishing, white water rafting, and hiking.
The free-standing cabin is on a private dirt road off Highway 75 just a few miles from beautiful Stanley, Idaho. Enjoy this relaxing getaway within walking distance of spectacular hikes, world-class fishing and rafting, or just relax in the mountain air on a porch or in a hammock with your favorite book! Fish for your breakfast out your back door and cook your catch on the beautiful vintage-style wood-burning stove in the kitchen. This cabin has a private main-floor bedroom with a queen bed as well as two sleeping lofts with three more queen beds and two single beds.
In the scenic Sawtooth Valley, this clean and cozy cabin provides a beautifully appointed but rustic space where you can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and relax to the sound of the rippling river and the wind in the pines. The cabin is neat and clean while also surrounding you with a mix of both vintage and modern touches.
Central Idaho is an area unlike any other. Every path you find will lead you to areas that are so untouched by humans that you wonder if you are the only one who has ever been there. The rushing rivers and towering mountaintops are more impressive everywhere you look. The beautiful wilderness area in the surrounding area will call you outside for a day of hiking, fishing, swimming, and exploring. Afterward, you can spend a relaxing evening under the stars with people you love around the fire pit enjoying ghost stories and s'mores! Stanley is designated as a Dark Sky Reserve, where the stars are so bright it feels like you can reach out and touch them. Stargazing is an incredible way to spend one of your nights here. As the day comes to an end, the cozy fireplace, handmade quilts and fluffy comforters, and the logs harvested by hand from the property and used in the construction of the cabin will call you back in. Your dreams will be filled with the excitement of the day and anticipation of what tomorrow might hold.
We hope you enjoy this heavenly place as much as we do!

A great location but maybe a little more rustic than we were expecting. We found a lot of mice droppings and cohabitated with a bay.
Such a beautiful cabin and beautiful place to stay. Would definitely go there again.
We had a fantastic stay at the cabin! The photos seriously do not do it justice! The home was so cozy and even with temps over 90* we were all comfortable and never hot. They had everything you could want for a great stay! My 3 older kids loved the sleeping loft and there was room for my husband and I plus a pack n play in the main bedroom. There is only one bathroom, but everyone including the baby loved the claw foot tub. It was so awesome to be able to do laundry after 2+ weeks on the road staying in various locations! It was a great location right on the river but close enough to go into Stanley for some yummy food! We also cooked a few meals, but didn’t want to heat up the whole house using the wood burning stove, but fortunately there are grills and propane burners outside to use! We would definitely stay again if we’re in the area (we came from IL)
the cabin was everything we hoped! It is close to Stanley, the kitchen was large enough for our group, everything functioned well. It was well-stocked; the only thing we could not find was coffee filters, which we had brought, in case. The beds were clean and very comfortable. Loft sleeping was warm in the warm summertime, but there were fans in the closets that worked well. A limiting factor for some guests may be the claw foot tub, which was clean and functional, but may be difficult to enter/exit for some with mobility challenges. I have no complaints with this place, or the management. We had a great time, thank you for a great host!
My family enjoyed the stay at the cabin. We were not able to use the fire pit but had a nice fire going in the fireplace which we all enjoyed. Loved being close to the river. Did some good fishing.
Great location, very relaxing but near activities. Private and quiet, well stocked. Would return
Fabulous!!
This property was just as described. The perfect get away!
Fabulous house and location. We loved our stay.
Our family, 2 adults and 2 children (7 & 3) had an amazing trip to Stanley/Sawtooth region with the cabin as our home base. We explored Redfish Lake, many local hikes, river rafting, mineral hot springs and the great town of Stanley, all within minutes of the cabin. Sun Valley is a pretty 1hr drive away through the mountains which was a great day trip. Waking up to the sight and sound of the Salmon River each day was magical. The cabin is warm and inviting with many classic decor touches. Just be advised for those traveling as a family with young children, there is one master bedroom on the main floor, with the remaining several beds in the loft area. We weren't comfortable with our kids being up there alone, so we all stayed there. The loft area is a more rustic/unfinished part of the cabin, but beds are very comfortable and windows open for fresh mountain air. We hope to return again to this special place!
