The view was unbelievable!! We found that the owner really thought of everything to make this cabin stay amazing! The house was very well put together, clean and had everything we needed. The weather ended up being perfect. It was the absolute best way to spend our 25th Wedding anniversary!!! If we could give it more than 5 stars we would! The host was also very communicative- fantastic experience!

The setting is exactly what you hope for in a mountain getaway, private, quiet, and surrounded by amazing views you can enjoy from both the cabin and the outdoor spaces.The highlights for us were the hot tub and the scenery. Both made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring and really elevated the overall experience. The cabin itself was comfortable and well laid out, with plenty of space to relax, enjoy a morning coffee with a view, and truly disconnect.If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with incredible views and great amenities, we’d absolutely recommend Cannon Creek Cabin and would gladly stay again.

Rick was very welcoming and responsive. Called to give us a heads up about snow also. We didn’t get to enjoy the sauna, but did enjoy the hot tub. The cabin itself was great and the views fantastic!!

This home was perfect! My son and I had a great time. All the amenities were excellent! The host was great, and the privacy was excellent as well! Beautiful views, quant cabin, excellent host. We enjoyed our trip and the cabin had lagniappe to make it even better than expected. Cozy heaters and blankets, a humidifier (southern folks need this!), towels/robes/spa slippers for the sauna and jacuzzi, a book with area suggestions…a lot of thought was put into making this place very welcoming. Def recommend :)

The hot tub at anytime was magical but at night with a dark sky… it was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The location is perfect, the view is spectacular and the owner was a gem to work with. The sauna was an awesome addition and we enjoyed it. The welcome binder and all the suggestions with menus was a nice touch and super helpful. It was an incredible trip.

Wow what a beautiful place! The cabin was clean and cozy. We really enjoyed spending time soaking in the hot tub or relaxing in the sauna. And that view of the mountains is breathtaking! This was perfect for our stay. 10/10!

Another great stay at this amazing property. Rick is a fabulous host. The views from this property are what sets this cabin apart from all other properties. Plus the birds and other animals that we saw made it even more special. There are cabins and then there is a special cabin. This cabin is definitely special.

We had the most amazing time at the Cannon Creek Cabin. The views were stunning, the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed getting up early and watching the sunrises. This place is definitely worth the 10 rating! Also, Ridgway and Ouray are close by with lots of good food and shops, plus Box Canyon Falls and The Million Dollar Highway. You will truly enjoy every minute at this cabin.

This was, by far, the best girl's weekend you could ask for! The views are stunning. No verbal description or picture can do justice to the real thing, but Rick's description of the property is spot on. They have really thought of everything you could possibly want or need for your stay. I'd like to say it sucked so I could keep this location all to myself, lol, but that would be a lie and a huge disservice to our amazing host! We will be back! Don't know when, but we will be back. Lets start by saying this is an amazing property. My wife and I loved this cabin.The accommodations for this property are exactly as advertised. It's super clean, well stocked, and provides spectacular views of the surroundings mountains and valley. There are so my things to love about this place, but my absolute favorite feature is the deck that wraps around part of the cabin. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air and taking in the natural sights and sounds this area has to offer. I have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years and this one is by far my favorite. The property owner was fantastic to work and was very responsive with any and all questions I had. If you are planning a trip to the San Juans and need a quite place to stay thats only mins from Ridgeway and Ouray, this property provides a great place to getaway to the mountains of beautiful Colorado.

The cabin had so many windows to look out to the amazing mountains and tree-filled valley. The owners had comfortable chairs in four different outside venues.

This was truly the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at. I’ve no complaints everything was executed and the views are jaw dropping.

The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The views were absolutely amazing. We loved watching the gang of deer that would visit daily. My wife and I enjoyed our May, 2025 four night visit. The rural setting is quiet and very scenic. The cabin is well equipped The owner is helpful and happy to answer questions.

My wife and i travel to the San Juan area every year and choose different areas to stay. I would have to say that the mountain views from the property are the best we have ever had. It was a very cozy cabin and the beds exceptionally comfortable. Will definitely return.

The pictures do not do justice to this cabin! If you're thinking about this cabin, just do it! You will not be disappointed. Rick, the owner, was awesome! He gave us suggestions on where to eat as well as general info on the area!One word of advise if you go during the winter months, make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle.

Our stay was wonderful, the surrounding looked like a winter wonderland!

This was our second stay at this house and Rick added some nice upgrades to the house with the outdoor sauna, wood deck and the fire pit. Again Rick was an awesome host and is very easy to get ahold of. On Christmas after a heavy snowfall we couldn’t get out of the drive way because of the snow and ice and Rick came over plowed the driveway and let us park in an easier area. We had a great time once again and will definitely be back!

Driving up to the cabin you are facing the most beautiful snowy mountain peaks! Walking in, there is a beautiful leather sectional with vintage vibes, big ottoman, huge telescoping tv and huge windows that face the mountains. The kitchen is fully stocked with basic spices, pots, pans, cooking utensils, tupperware, etc. There is a dishwasher with lots of dishwashing tablets and a huge fridge/freezer. The sitting room has a beautiful blue velvet couch with a record player and lots of fun records to enjoy! There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, my husband and I used them both as a dressing room/our own bathroom. There is a laundry room with plenty of detergent and dryer sheets and new, easy to use washer and dryer. The best part was the private cedar sauna and hot tub at the end of the wrap around deck. We used both daily and especially loved soaking under the stars!! With the light ordnance you can actually see the milky way, and shooting stars!! It snowed a few inches mutiple days when we stayed in November turning the cabin into a scene out of a Christmas movie. The owners will not bother you one bit, but we were so happy we texted Rick to ask if we could meet them. They came by and are so friendly, you can tell they know how special this place is and are proud to share it with bookers. This cabin is truly magnificent and we cannot wait to come back!! Would give it 10 stars if we could!

The view on the listing sold us on this place. But pictures don't do it justice. Absolutely beautiful views everywhere you look. Fantastic outdoor area with plenty of deck seating, a private hot tub, and a sauna. Will definitely stay here again when in the area!

This is a 5 star cabin. Every single window has an awesome view. We enjoyed our stay. It was fun to use the hot tub and sauna. The area was peaceful and quiet. Our first night there we were awoken by a wild turkey and we were visited daily by the local deer. We did practice our snow shoeing on the property and the town of ridgeway is a lovely quiet mountain town. We loved it. The owner responds quickly with any problems. The only thing we would suggest to improve the property would be to add diming switches to the bathrooms as the lights are bright at night which I only mention because really that is the only feedback as this is best VRBO we have stayed in. We loved playing with the record player. We had everything we needed on site and felt at home. We appreciate that the owners obviously put a lot of thought and work into the rental property, and it shows. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to Rick and Shannon for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

The property was amazing, and views were great. The sauna and hot tub were perfect. The new sauna was a great addition. It was a great place to relax after a day exploring. The cabin had everything you could need and more. Rick the owner was extremely helpful and friendly. This was the best Vacation rental property we have stayed at by a good margin. This place has the most stunning views! It was clean and done in good taste. The beds were the highlight as they were very comfortable. But what topped off everything were unobstructed views and privacy. No house anywhere near it other than the owners home. It is in the heart of those San Juan Mountains, the jewel of Colorado in my opinion. We will be back!

If you want quiet and peaceful this is it!!! Owner fielded countless questions from me prior to and after booking. I wanted the perfect location and this truly was. Quiet, beautiful, soo clean by far the cleanest kitchen items I’ve had at a rental…couldn’t have asked for anything more than this place!

This Two bedroom two bath cabin is perfect if you are looking for wide open inspiring views, peace, hot tub under the stars on the deck, watching all of the birds and wildlife, and just catching up on life.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views were awesome, and the peace and quiet was just what we needed. My only complaint is we couldn't stay longer.

Cannon Creek Cabin is just as advertised on the VRBO site. Peaceful and quiet with unreal mountain views and sunsets. Gas fireplace on the deck and cliffside hot tub were used nightly. I would suggest turning all the lights off in the cabin and watching the stars from the hot tub. Gas fireplace was so convenient that we never used the wood fire pit. Rick was a gratious host and gave great tips for some off-road driving adventures for us. Rick's house is just up the driveway, but the angle of the cabin makes it feel like you are all only with your mountain views. Rick responded within a short time via text when we were out of propane for the gas fireplace and told us where we could find a backup propane tank. My wife and I would give this rental location a 5 out of 5 stars. Thanks for sharing your great location with us Rick.

This is a great property for a quiet base camp to explore the ridgway/ouray area. Cabin is very nice and comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. It also has an amazing view and hot tub. It is a little drive up the mountain but still just a few minutes from town. Very quiet and peaceful. We saw deer, a mountain lion, and about a million chipmunks in the yard. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the ridgway area!

Yes, better than the pictures! So peaceful & relaxing with amazing views from the porch & deck, even from the inside looking out! Cannon Creek Cabin had everything we needed for our week of hiking & exploring the San Juans. Great location between anything you would want to do in Silverton, Ouray, Montrose & Telluride. The cabin is very clean, comfortable & nicely decorated. Lots of wildlife on the drive up to & around the property. Rick was a great host & lives just around the corner. We hope to return for more hiking & would definitely book this property again!

We enjoyed our stay at Cannon Creek cabin immensely. The house is beautifully furnished with amazing views whichever way you look. Well-stocked, comfortable beds and the hot tub was wonderful at the end of the day! We really enjoyed all of the great outdoor furniture and spent the majority of our time soaking up the views. The property manager was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any messages. My only advice is to make sure you have all you need before heading to the house - it’s quite a trek from town! Loved our stay at this home.

This cabin was secluded, private, peaceful, and had the best view of the Sneffles mountain range. We loved relaxing on the deck, listening to and watching the birds and other critters. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything you would need; it made cooking your own meals easy. If you are looking for a private cabin where you can relax, this is it!
