Stayed Jun 21, 2024Liked - Peaceful, beautiful, clean, cozy, roomy. Disliked - no wifi display password, no cell service, wasn't able to contact anyone with questions about the no smoking policy.

Stayed Jan 1, 2026We loved the remote location surrounded by woods and a stream, and covered in a foot of untouched snow. Log cabin provided perfect ambiance for winter retreat, with room for the 5 of us, big family room and nice kitchen and dining room. Host was responsive with details before the trip.

Stayed Dec 26, 2025The house was terrific and well equipped. Convenient to Elk Mountain for skiing and Honedale for good restaurants. We really enjoyed watching movies by the fireplace.

Stayed Feb 14, 2025We stayed here for Valentine's day weekend a couple weeks ago. Cabin was spotless and spacious. Everything listed in the description was accurate, so no surprises. We're glad we brought firewood, as that helped warm up the area for the entire night. Quiet and secluded, had everything we could've hoped for in a cabin. We snowboarded at nearby Elk Mountain (20 min drive), and enjoyed a couple places to dine on Main St. in Honesdale, PA. Sleeps 6 people comfortably, and having the second bathroom was key. Nice separation between the bedroom/kitchen area from the living room. It really felt like 2 cabins joined by a large hallway. We've stayed at other cabins in this general area, but this would be the one we wouldn't hesitate to book again. Hosts were very quick to respond with any questions as well.

Stayed Jan 31, 2025The property is absolutely beautiful. The house is comfortable and gorgeous. Unfortunately the heat does not heat up the back room in the kitchen enough. The temperature in the kitchen as well as the back room hovered around 55 to 58 even when the heat was turned up in the front room. There is a wood-burning stove, but there was no wood and nowhere to purchase any or find anywhere on the property. Without the wood-burning stove it’s too cold to sleep. The second night we were moved to the front of the room to sleep on the chairs, where the gas fireplace was, but the Clock which is about a foot in length and diameter was too bright to be able to sleep. Since there was no Wi-Fi, (the password was repeatedly displaying incorrect password), there was no way to contact the owners since we did not have cell service. I could not text, email or call. So although the place was beautiful, I don’t think it’s good for winter since the back rooms where you sleep cannot be heated up without the wood-burning stove and the wood is not supplied. There were two blankets the size and weight of a bath towel so they were not helpful. We were also asked not to use a wood-burning stove unless we had experience with it. I’m guessing that’s why there was no wood. They really don’t want people using it. My suggestion is to wait until April to rent this place.i would definitely come back in the summer when heat wasn’t an issue.

Stayed Aug 1, 2024Very Beautiful Log Cabin home with AC & Heat and a wood burning stove. House is on a Block On Johnson with only about three other homes in a mile and is nestled within Trees. Though on the side of the garage, you have about a hundred foot clearing between the homes and the forest so there is space to do as you please, such as play basketball. It is secluded and Neighbors are no where to be seen. There is tons of toilet paper, but you should bring laundry detergent and Bounty and cleaning supplies and all such consumables as there is none or little. Enjoy!

Stayed Feb 16, 2024We stayed over Presidents’ Day weekend. Great little place about 15 min from the mountain. The cozy fireplace room is perfect after a day of skiing. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Would be a nice place in the summer as well. Highly recommend
