We had a wonderful Christmas. The cabin was just as described. We loved it.
My family had a great time at the hummingbird Lodge. It was large enough that we did not feel claustrophobic. Julie our Host was great and readily available to answer any questions I had.
Very nice birthday stay. The property was clean and everything is provided except paper products . The road is long , windy and gravel but not an issue . Would go back again
My wife and I really enjoyed our extended stay at the Hummingbird Lodge. The escape from the mid south heat was was refreshing. Spent most evenings on the porch reading and watching the hummingbirds feed. Also to daily walks in Highlands Pass withe the dogs. Our last evening we enjoyed a glass of wine and some appetizers with Julie and Don (the owner). Already scheming our next visit! Julie/Don, thanks for being wonderful hosts.
No other houses or people in sight!!! Very large rooms and clean . Will stay there again. Julia was the very best host we have ever had!!! Judy & Bill
We absolutely love this lodge and look forward to our stay every year! Secluded just enough, but close enough, for hiking, fishing or day trips to the local tourist attractions in the neighboring states. This lodge has everything you need to feel like you’re home and we treat it as if it were own. Julia is an exceptional hostess and is great with communication if you need her. I can’t stress enough how clean and detailed to your comfort this place is! If you decide to book your stay, you will NOT be disappointed, but I ask you to please keep it as you found it.
Hummingbird Lodge was a rustic and large property. It’s perfect for those that want to have total privacy and are okay with being “off the grid”. Would not recommend for someone who has to work online while vacationing. Wi-Fi was satellite and not the most reliable. Cell service with Verizon was non-existent. Not the owners fault, just something a renter needs to be aware of. Excellent Direct TV loaded with all kinds of subscriptions. I truth, it was kind of nice to not have everyone on devices when we were at the lodge. It made for a good bonding experience for all as we actually interacted, played games, fished, hiked, etc.
We had a lot going on in our family this year. These people were so understanding about changing dates. I'm really impressed. Thank you again and again Julia.
We just loved the lodge wilderness setting. Everyday you are surrounded by nature. Beautiful view from the porch. Comfortable seating and bedding. Cozy and warm log cabin feel with all the comforts of modern day amenities.
We had a great weekend at a wonderful home in the mts. There were 8 of us from 3yrs old to 70 and the house offered something for everyone. Julia was amazing…. Absolutely the best.
My husband and I experienced a great deal of rain on vacation. Thank goodness for the large covered deck, pool table, ping pong and roominess of the house. Great for large families.
This is the most amazing lodge, that is secluded enough to enjoy nature and privacy, but close to all activities you may want to do during your visit! Julia was a most gracious hostess and the cleanliness of the lodge and it’s many amenities, made our vacation stay, the perfect getaway! We plan to return, as often as possible. Thank you, Julia!
We had a wonderful time. Something here for all ages. Beautiful property!! Cell phone service spotty at best...lol. Loved it!
What a splendid treasure nestled in the mountaintops. The hosts were a true pleasure to work with and the dwelling was packed with charm.
