Stayed Jun 28, 2025This lovely cabin was exactly what we needed for a private relaxing getaway. We truly felt like we were in our own little world. Huge bonus, the bed was very comfortable.

Stayed Jun 19, 2025As frequent customers, we loved our stay. However, Sugar Shack could use a little TLC. Most of the hot tub buttons don’t work anymore. I think only a few jets worked. Also, The carpenter bees have really done a number on the wood outside. There were a few spider webs around the ceiling fan which was out of our reach to clean. As always, we had a great stay, but Sugar Shack could use some love these days.

Stayed Jun 1, 2025Nice quiet clean cabin. Only problem we had was sharing the back deck with the carpenter bees. They were not aggressive but a nuisance. They are really doing a lot of damage to them cabin.

Stayed Feb 14, 2025We have stayed 3-4 times previously in other Lydia mountain cabins and the experience was great, but this past stay was not as good. The main complaint is that the cabin could not get warm. We turned up the temperature to 74 and the unit just stopped working. We tried the fireplace many times but were unsuccessful in getting it started. The hot tub was also in need of repair. The water was not very clean and had debris floating in the water. Overall we had higher expectations due to the price point and previous experiences

Stayed Jan 24, 2025We woke at 5am Saturday freezing !! Our power was out. We realize that is no fault of yours. However , our fire would not stay lit for long (yes we kept the timer on and renewed ) we couldn’t cook breakfast and couldn’t shower. We would have run out to grab food but ,we were blocked in by 3 large REC trucks. We didn’t get power until 11:00 am. While waiting we ate chips and snacks wrapped in blankets trying to stay warm. We decided to just go to lunch. Our hot tub buttons were broken on some and our jets were not very good. We tried the restaurant at the lodge and enjoyed it. The wedding above us was very loud / stomping but, we just said they sure were having a good time. The cabin could use another light over the fire place or near. We come every year and will be back next year !!! And, I would consider the sugar shack again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I reserved a cabin for my grandparents for their 60th anniversary get away. The staff went above and beyond to make sure they had a comfortable stay. They were so friendly and accommodating. My grandparents said the meal was delicious, the cabin was cozy, and the customer service was top notch. We will definitely be booking again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great little getaway. Enjoyed the peace, quiet, and tranquility. The Sugar Shack was cozy, clean, and in a great location. The hot tub was a great added bonus but would recommend the worn buttons being replaced for easier use by future guests. We will definitely be return clients!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is not our first time with Lydia Cabins. Sugar Shack was a gem. I know the cabin has not been used in recent days/weeks, they could have gone in do another clean prior to the guests arrive; i.e. spider web, leaves on the deck/porch. We pre-ordered our firewoods, but was not there. Our code to the door was also not programmed correctly. If we had arrived after hours/darkness, it wouldn't had been a pleasant checking in process. After several missed calls to the front desk, we finally got someon to assist us. I'm aware all businesses are short staffs these days, but we appreciated the front desk person helping out us.

Stayed Dec 31, 19692nd time staying in this cabin. Easy to get to, paved road up the mountain, well marked, flat driveway. Comfortable king bed. We spent more time at the cabin than normally would due to rainy weather… but could still enjoy hot tub and covered porch without getting wet. TV with lots of channels. Easy entrance and walking for elderly dog. Got a togo order from the Lodge’s restaurant and it was delicious! It’s a little high priced. Staff was very courteous! Killed a couple spiders and ants inside the cabin, but I understand being surrounded by forest. Sugar shack is a true escape from our busy lives and makes us slow down and relax!
