Maggie Valley, North Carolina
Cabin 3 sits right next to the beautiful Campbell Creek! At Pioneer Village we offer a quiet getaway from the hectic outside world. You’ll feel undisturbed tucked away in a wooden complex yet you’re still close to all local attractions. So come stay awhile and relax on the porch in our rocking chairs, listen to the creek and enjoy the wonderful fresh mountain air of Maggie Valley.
Beautiful cabin. Very clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend
Very unrequited cottage. 1 butter knife, cabin extremely drafty, i know the new owners are trying to get the most for their money but I've stayed at pioneer village for 5 decades and I am very disappointed in what they have done to the place. Stop trying to make a buck and make it like it should be .
We enjoyed our stay in this cute little cabin! The screened porch was the cherry on top. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of sleep space & the comfy bedding. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a nice breakfast for the whole family. The location is conveniently located to all the shops. Five stars from us!
It’s only a block off Main Street but this circle of cabins feels secluded and at the same time very safe. Having on-site property managers was priceless! We can’t say enough about Ronnie & Mary…the cabin was the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in after decades of renting cabins all over TN & NC! Ronnie was so very helpful and kind to these 2 “old” ladies. The creek, the back porch, the fireplace, the rustic yet updated cabin made for the absolute perfect and much needed vacation. I will be going back asap! Loved every minute! Thank you thank you thank you for bringing these antique cabins back to life!
We were comfortable. East access in and out of cabin. Loved sleeping and listening to the sound of the creek. Quiet and peaceful.
Very quiet nice clean cabins..although they could use appliance upgrades..would highly reccomend this place! Love pioneer village!
We have been attending a Corvair car show in the fall for many years. It has been challenging to find a place that checks all the boxes for us...until this year. The owner was a great communicator and very accommodating. The self check-in and check-out was very easy. The on-site manager was very friendly and extremely helpful. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. Loved the retro microwave oven and Keurig-style coffee maker. We liked everything so much that we reserved this cabin for next year!
Had a very good time. Everyone was so nice. The overall stay was great. Missing it already
We had two cabins . . . me and my husband and our two daughters with their husbands. It was wonderful. I have been coming here since I was 6 or 7 years old (I'm 61 now) and bringing our daughters for years. I wanted to share it with our son-in-laws and they love it! Thank your and Ronnie and his family who made the facility beautiful and our trip so wonderful!!
2 couples enjoying a weekend in Maggie Valley. Cabin 3 sits over the creek. Water sounds all around and in the cabin. Could use some updates to the tub/shower. We will definitely come back to this relaxing place!
We absolutely LOVED Cabin 3 in Pioneer Village!! This creekside cabin had a rustic feel but definitely was not lacking in modern amenities. The screened porch overlooking the creek was our favorite place to hang out and watch our 9-year-old grandson play. He even said Grandma, this is the life! And we agree. It was so relaxing listening to the babbling waters and enjoying the lovely rocking chairs. We were so sad when it was time to go home and can't wait to go back!! (The only thing that would have been very helpful would be some sort of rack or line to hang the wet bathing suits and towels. A minor inconvenience though.)
Good
This location has always been our family favorite place toe vacation in the Smoky Mountains. Great cabins, and location for traveling surrounding area's and more importantly a place to just relax, sitting in a rocking chair, and taking in the view. The one change from the many, many, years we have vacationed here is they no longer have a laundry service onsite. So if you are staying only a couple of days that's ok. But if you plan to stay for a week or longer, either bring your own towels and wash clothes or be prepared to purchase additional linens at one of the local stores.
We have been staying at Pioneer Village since 1999. We were very glad that the new owners are leaving it essentially the same with just some improvements. The tree trimming has really opened it up amd looks great. We almost always stay in the same cabin and really like the new mattresses, couch and decor. The refrigerator has some issues but we understand it and the stove are soon to be replaced. We had a total of 29 people there in 6 cabins, ages 1 to 84. The big grassy area in the center is great for the kids (and adults) to play in and who doesnt love a mountain stream to play in and to lull you to sleep at night. The group shelter with grill and picnic tables is perfect for the meals that our entire group eat together. Although we did not meet the owner, the caretakers were very nice and helpful. My only suggestion would be provide a better toilet paper and paper towels--those were both so thin it was difficult to use them.
We have loved this place for over 25 years. The new renovations have added to the appeal of the rustic cabins. The only suggestion i have is a collapsible towel drying rack. And, im not able to get through to property manager; link would not work....pls let someone know to look in the window sill right inside the door of Cabin #3.
Having stayed here numerous times over past 20 years… it did not disappoint. The 36 hour snow fall was the icing on the cake! Will look forward to returning with family.
Family loved the cabin, it’s our second time there. The creek running under the cabin the scenery and location are just too good to not come back!
Maggie valley was disappointing. Almost everything was closed and looked a little trashy. Cabins were nice and clean. Not sure what we paid insurance for because we got the flu and had to leave early and was told it doesn't cover getting sick with flu. Also cabins were a little pricey I thought for area.
Pioneer Village never disappoints
Had a wonderful stay at this property. Very low key and no disturbances from the neighbors. Everyone was very friendly. The staff was helpful and I did speak with management prior to our arrival. The cabin was clean. You can hear the creek flowing . Its a nice beautiful stay away from the busy world we live in.
