This was a great location for me as I had relatives staying at a nearby RV park and this was close to Custer State Park. The directions to the cabin were not clear. Take the first left after turning off 36. The flag and Gold Creak sign are not until the next left. Do not go straight and up the hill. Be aware that the tub/shower is cute, old time. But it is a 2 foot step over the edge of the tub. I’m 79 and no longer too agile. Then, you must hold the shower nozzle as there is no pole there from which to hang it. Otherwise, the cabin was fine.

Very clean and quiet. Convenient to Custer State Park. We had deer in the front yard every morning. The tub is quite high and the shower is a hand held, so not a true shower. Really nice grill outside.

My husband and I spent a long weekend with our pup exploring the black hills. This property had everything we needed. Minutes from Custer state park. Very close to town for grocery needs (pops has everything you need including SDSU ice cream) There is a great pizza place up the road too. The beds were extremely cozy and air conditioning unit was able to cool the whole place! We would definitely return!

Nice and quaint little cabin. Worked well for my husband and I, and was great as they are dog friendly!

We loved the cabin and were especially pleased with its size. Our host Matt replied without hesitation to our questions/requests.Our only concern was the tub/shower setup. We were all 80 so the tub height was a little intimidating. Younger travelers would probably love it.Overall we love the quite and lovely surroundings. Would reserve again!

This cabin was really cozy and fun. The only thing I would change is the tub/shower combination

Clean, affordable, close to popular attractions. Shower/tub was hard for kids- nice to have a tub but shower was hand held with curtain around the whole thing. Would stay here again but would probably try the sister cabin that's closer to the hammock and hang out area.

The cabin was exactly what it was advertised as, very clean, comfortable bed, great front porch to watch the night sky and a great location

Wonderful, cozy cabin for our weekend stay in the Black Hills. It was located in more secluded location so it was very quiet and we could get to almost any location within 30 minutes. Would stay again.

This cabin was so cozy the beds were clean and comfortable and the cabin felt comfortable as well it’s not to far from any of the spots around Custer state park or the black hill and is near by some towns with groceries and other amenities Would definitely recommend staying here for your black hills stay

Beautiful small cabin, decorated nicely. Very poor communication with owner. Messages left through VRBO (could not access owners private number until checked in) were left unanswered for days, and then were just auto type replies, not answering questions. Were given 4 towels and 3 wash clothes for 4 people and 2 nights stay. Upon leaving found a tub under master bed, with 1 additional wash cloth and towel, but it was too late to use, and it still wouldn’t have been adequate amount. Husband went to use electric skillet and it still had oil in it from last travelers use, and had to wash it. Dishes on shelf were dirty and wet, having not been dried after cleaning, some covered in grease. Propane tank on grill was empty, was able to get ahold of owner and was told where to find new tank, at neighboring cabin. But owner never resolved not having enough towels or wash rags, and stopped replying to messages. If cleaner is unable to do dishes then owner needs to request that guests wash all dishes before leaving. My husband washed ours (except for 2 late used cereal bowls), so the next guests don’t have to find dirty dishes. My first bad experience with an VRBO owner.

We loved staying at the Gold Creek Bunk House. It had plenty of space for 3 adults and two small children. The location as excellent to explore the Black Hills but plenty far away to feel secluded. We will definitely visit again!

The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Such a nice quiet property that's easy to get to. The location was perfect for the activities we had planned. Our host was wonderful and made us feel welcomed.
