The large sandy beach area was great for 4 kids ages 7-15. Along with Kayak’s, sand toys and more, the kids really enjoyed. Clean up at end of the stay was easy and simple, basically did the dishes and was able to feel stress free like a hotel check out, unlike some other VRBO, we have stayed. This place was a little small for 7 of us staying in it, but I only say that because we have stayed in many VRBO, so when compared but the loft was great for the kids, but us 3 adults couldn’t/wouldn’t of used that space at all, due to ladder entrance, so basically the main kitchen/living space and a bedroom and bathroom. Overall our stay was good. We went to see Paul Bunyan land and downtown shops in Nisswa and ate in downtown Brainerd.

Such a quaint, quiet and cozy cabin. Love it's proximity to the water and enjoyed the loons and morning coffee and sunrise. Very easy check in and described well!

We had a fabulous time! We loved getting out on the water kayaking, searching for shells on the beach, and sharing stories around the campfire. The property was super clean, newly renovated, and was perfect for our family of 5 plus our pup.

We very much enjoyed our quick weekend away at this cabin. Location is beautiful! Right next to the lake, great beach area with plenty provided to do or just relax and enjoy the view! The cabin was clean with a wonderful set up. The main house is behind the cabin but your privacy is respected and they are very nice!

Ron was the perfect host in that he left us to ourselves but was immediately available if we needed something. The cabin was cozy and the remodel features (kitchen, bath) are beautiful. The queen-size mattress was probably the most comfortable I have come across in a VRBO. The cabin sits right on the lake and the week we were there (mid-Sept) the lake was like glass with almost no boats. But lots of loons! Ron has all the toys you could ever want to rent: jet skis, pontoon, fishing boat....and all the water toys the kids will love. The lake has a sandy bottom and is very clean. We took the pontoon out for a slow cruise around the lake. The location is great: 10 minutes to either Nisswa or Brainerd for shopping and restaurants. Only one suggestion: the listing should indicate that the cabin might not be accessible for some with mobility issues. There are two somewhat steep and unexpected steps down to the bedroom and same with the bathroom. Otherwise, we love Ron's place!

We had a wonderful stay at this lakeside cabin. It was very clean and well equipped for a relaxing holiday weekend. As we were in town for a wedding, we didn’t have enough time to utilize the many water sport activities but hope to make it back soon. Thanks Ron and Jodi!

Excellent. So fun.

We liked our cabin but there was little privacy outside. A family lived behind us and dominated the beach, dock and firepit. So we will not be returning. A suggestion is to leave batteries for the remote, instructions for the Roku TV and the grill.

We stayed for a girls weekend and had a great time! Ron was a great host who was there for whatever we needed. We lacked a few supplies in the cabin (toilet paper and garbage bags) but we made it work! The only thing I was not expecting is there was another family staying on the same property at the same time we were. We didn’t run in to any issues and maybe I missed it in the listing, but we probably wouldn’t have stayed somewhere that we have to share the amenities, yard, firepit, etc. had we known that. Overall though, it was a great trip and I would recommend staying here again.

The place is better than advertised. All of us caught plenty of fish. Couldn't have asked for a better stay than at Ron's cabin.

Fun winter get away!

We were excited for our north cabin stay however we didn’t know we were going to fall in love with the location and cabin and amenities. Everything was exactly what we needed and Ron was fantastic to communicate with. We look forward to coming back year after year.

We came to Brainerd for a girls trip, this cabin was perfect for our group! Well kept and cozy right on the lake! Only a few miles from Nisswa and Brainerd which made it easy to get out and explore the area. Thank you for helping make our trip great!

My wife and I stayed here in the late fall for a quick getaway after our wedding. This property is amazing. Very well-kept and clean. We will definitely be booking another stay at Gladstone Haven!

Lovely week at this lakeside cabin. We enjoyed just relaxing at the cabin, time on the dock and in the lake. Good hiking at Northland Arboretum in Baxter, Crow Wing SP and Father Hennepin SP. Also walked along the road daily with our little dog. Thank you Ron and Jodi.

Great place to stay for a family of 6! Really enjoyed the cabin and our time out of the lake either on the paddle boat or pontoon.

What a wonderful location! The lake is so peaceful. The cabin was well-appointed and felt roomy for the 4 of us. Ron was great to work with, and we hope to get up there again!

The only thing was the property could have been better marked was hard to find but we turned around it was fine.

We stayed at Ron's cabin for a week with our teenager and a dog. The cabin is updated and had all of the things mentioned. The weather was perfect, the water was clear, the lake is a shallower lake (max. depth 25 ft) with some weeds, it is in a very quiet area where you can walk on the road with minimal cars going by. The public boat dock was very close, and we could use Ron's dock to tie our boat up. Nisswa was a short 5-10 min. drive if you wanted to go into town. It was easy to communicate with Ron as his home is also on the property. We would stay again.

Luv this place. Highly recommend!! Great place for a family weekend getaway. Pontoon was super clean. The water was clear and the host was great at communication. Definitely will be coming back next year!!!

Quiet lake near the Paul Bunyan bike trail. Lots of very good and varied dining options.
