Very Quiet and Restful...A PERFECT Get-a-Way...We Really Enjoyed this Place.
Truly enjoyed our stay. Very secluded and AWD is definitely preferred if rainy/icy conditions occur. We would’ve loved a space heater or heat flow on the first floor, but the fireplace was more than adequate. Be mindful that you may not have any signal while there (in case you need to call loved ones or anything…), but for us, the disconnect was much needed.
The house was awesome for our family of 7. AMAZING view!!! Google maps sent us the wrong way on the mountain roads in the last 10 minutes to the house. My brother used Apple Maps and didn’t have a problem. Signal was bad, couldn’t make calls or texts. Not many restaurants to choose from. If you’re just looking to chill at the house or do some hiking this house is great. But if you want a quaint town to walk around in and shop you might go closer to Asheville.
Nice views, and it is a very large home with a basement game room (pool table) that was a nice surprise. Very good value for the (actual rental) size (Vacasa fees added 70% not including taxes, but that's their problem, not the property). The road up is crazy steep and narrow, so I can't imagine how it is traversable in the winter. Only issue was the wifi/internet was very unreliable.
Clean well appointed home.
Great house and view but must have been two weeks of stinky garbage in the garage. Reported to Vacasa to have it remedied, never was. Further, the big windows with a view, all but one was covered with bird droppings. Understand its nature but some care should be taken. Really a nice place that had what was needed but couldn’t overcome the smell from the garage.
Just perfect! The view was lovely. The location quiet and close to downtown Waynesville!
